How good is Core i5 Iris Xe? Lenovo's new mid-range 14-inch convertible comes with the latest 11th gen Intel parts and even Thunderbolt 4 compatibility for a little under $1000 USD. Its specifications are great on paper, but let's see how the machine actually performs.

Premium but pricey. The Dell Latitude 7410 Chromebook Enterprise 2-in-1 is a well-specced, well-crafted, high-end Chrome OS convertible. It sits at the top of the Chromebook market, but its high price tag (starting at $1580) is a major hurdle that ultimately proves to trip up the device.

Price-performance champion. With the MagicBook Pro, Honor offers a well-equipped multimedia laptop with the latest Ryzen processor and a large 16.1-inch display. In our test, the device is almost completely convincing, and in many areas, it can also keep up with significantly more expensive competitors.

Also a recommendation without Nvidia GPU? Dell is one of the few manufacturers that offer large multimedia laptops without dedicated graphics cards. If you are not interested in gaming, you can still get a high-end multimedia laptop for a lower price. However, even the base model XPS 17 9700 with the small Core i5 is anything but cheap.

The Tiger King. Razer's latest subnotebook with Intel's brand new 11th gen Core i7 continues to be the fastest in its size category even if it's only marginally better than the older model.

Premium Chromebook. The Dell Latitude 7410 Chromebook Enterprise is one of the highest-end Chrome OS devices on the market. There's a lot to like, though the high price and limits of Chrome OS are hard to embrace.

Intel Evo(lution). 10th gen Intel Ice Lake introduced significant graphics upgrades over the aging UHD Graphics 620 and the 11th gen Tiger Lake series is yet another huge leap. CPU performance, however, hasn't changed by all that much.

Save your money. Are you happy with just 4 GB of soldered RAM and 64 GB of storage? If so, then the $550 USD Surface Laptop Go might be worthwhile. For everyone else, look elsewhere and don't turn back.

3:2 all the way. The ZenBook S series is moving away from the standard 16:9 aspect ratio to the more office-friendly 3:2. Results are impressive and definitely worth a look if you were considering a Surface, XPS, or MateBook in the near future.

One-trick pony. When it was first announced the Lenovo ThinkBook Plus caused a bit of a sensation. After all, laptops equipped with e-ink displays are certainly unique and special.
