Deal | Budget Asus VivoBook 15 F512DA with Ryzen 3, 8 GB RAM, 1080p display, and 128 GB SSD is down to $350 USD
When compared to the flagship ZenBook series, the VivoBook series is home to Asus' more affordable laptops consisting of cheaper plastic materials and lower quality displays to keep prices in check. Even so, these VivoBook laptops should be sufficient for home office users on a budget who aren't interested in the sleek metal designs or super-accurate displays of costlier alternatives.
Office Depot is currently selling a specific AMD configuration of the Asus VivoBook 15 F512DA for just $350 USD down from its original launch price of $450. We reviewed a similar configuration earlier this year and we were surprised by its performance-per-dollar, ease of servicing, and quiet fan noise. Nonetheless, the lid could have been more rigid and video playback won't appear as colorful due to the low contrast ratio of the display.
See our review on the VivoBook 15 F512DA to learn more about the chassis and its features. Though the configuration comes with a last generation AMD processor, the Ryzen 3 is still comparable to the latest Intel Core i3 models. Note that it also ships with Windows 10 Home S which can be easily upgraded to Windows 10 Home for free.
