Several Ring home cameras breached, recycled passwords likely to blame

Multiple families have reported their Ring cameras have been accessed by unknown third parties. The bad actors were able to access the video feeds and speakers of the cameras to frighten members of the affected households, including children. Ring has stated that the malicious parties probably accessed the cameras by using the victims' usernames and passwords, which were likely leaked in an unrelated data breach and recycled for the Ring cameras.

The Samsung Galaxy S10 line is already receiving the Android 10-based One UI 2.0 OTA but the update so far is limited to Exynos-powered European models. Samsung's update roadmap says Snapdragon models won't get the update till January but a surprise is on the cards, as certain North American units will get theirs in a few days.

The Exynos 9611 on the A51 and the Snapdragon 730 on the A71 are clearly meant for mid-range smartphones, but the imaging features on these models are already more advanced than anything Samsung has put on previous flagships. In this respect, the A51 features a 48 MP main shooter, while the A71 comes with a 64 MP sensor, and both get a 32 MP selfie cam.

Most 2020 smartphone flagships will have increased power requirements due to the lack of integrated 4G/5G modem with the Snapdragon 865

Qualcomm already presented the premium mid-range Snapdragon 765G with integrated X52 5G modem, so the fact that the Snapdragon 865 comes with no integrated 4G/5G modem does not make any sense. Unless Qualcomm wants to increase its profit and force OEMs to buy the SoC + 5G modem combo. Financial issues aside, most 2020 flagships could be plagued with overheating, low battery life and poor 5G connectivity.
