Fast Ryzen 5000 CPUs and cheap Ryzen 3000 chips right some wrongs as Steam's January survey reveals a new high for AMD against Intel in processor usage share

Steam has published its hardware and software survey for January 2021 and there are certainly some differences in comparison to the previous month in terms of processor usage and share. AMD has achieved its highest share against Intel, likely aided by the uptake of fast Ryzen 5000 processors among the gaming community.

First Intel Alder Lake-P with 14 cores and 20 threads seen in action, 96-EU Xe GT2 throws up no surprises in Geekbench 5 OpenCL test

A 14C/20T Intel 12th gen Alder Lake-P processor has been spotted on Geekbench showing a boost up to 4.7 GHz. This particular entry pertains to the OpenCL benchmark of the 96-EU Xe GT2 iGPU, and the score is in line with expectations, though there definitely seems to be further scope for improvement.
