Asus ROG teams up with IKEA for gaming-focused furniture, Japan will get it first
A few months ago, IKEA and the Asus sub-brand Republic of Gamers (ROG) announced their collaboration that would produce various pieces of furniture and accessories for gamers. At the end of January, IKEA China introduced more than 30 products that come as a result of this joint effort, also revealing the arrival dates for other markets.
The new gaming range targets PC gamers and includes six families of products, namely HUVUDSPELARE, UTESPELARE, MATCHSPEL, GRUPPSPEL, UPPSPEL, and LÅNESPELARE. However, only the UPPSPEL products have been designed by the two companies in close collaboration, and the others have been developed by IKEA alone, but "based on the insights and knowledge gained from the collaboration to ensure the width of the total gaming offer and to meet the various needs of IKEA customers in terms of function, design and price."
The list of new products for gamers that have been introduced in China and will hit IKEA Japan in May includes gaming desks and chairs, a drawer unit, a mug holder, a neck pillow, a ring light, and more. Sadly, global sales will only kick off in October 2021. Below, you can check out some of the items mentioned earlier.
