Zotac has taken the covers off its new GeForce RTX 20-series GPUs. Based on Nvidia's powerful new Turing architecture, the new Zotac Gaming GPUs will come in blower, triple fan and AMP models with all-new designs.

WhatsApp has distinguished itself among messaging apps through its ability to eat your storage. However, a new agreement between the Facebook subsidiary and Google mean that WhatsAapp backups will no longer clog up space on the Drives of its users.

The new XPC P20U from Shuttle is an all-in-one PC barebones unit with fanless design and water/dust-proofing. Equipped with an 11-6-inch multi-touch display, this model makes for an excellent IoT or PoS terminal. Specs include the Intel Celeron 3865U CPU with the HD Graphics 610 GPU plus support for up to 32 GB of DDR4 RAM and room for a 2.5-inch HDD/SSD along with an NVMe SSD.

A few outlets managed to run a demo of the Shadow of the Tomb Raider on the new NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 Ti and the initial impressions seem to be a bit dampening with ray tracing turned on. The game was shown to hover in the 30 fps range in 1080p and struggled to reach 60 fps. A demo without ray tracing was not shown but it should understandably result in a huge performance difference.

Asus has announced the ROG Strix, Dual, and Turbo cards based on the just launched NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 and RTX 2080 Ti GPUs. These cards are now available for pre-order on major e-tail sites with prices starting from US$839 for the Dual RTX 2080 and going up to US$1,239 for the Dual RTX 2080 Ti.

The Turing-powered RTX 2000-series gaming GPUs will come with most of the features integrated in the RTX Quadro professional cards, but at a fraction of the price. For now, Nvidia unveiled only three models - the RTX 2070, RTX 2080 and RTX 2080Ti; however, there are rumors of possible GTX 2060 and 2050 cards that could be launched in October.

While the mini PC market is clearly dominated by Intel, AMD is now trying to steal some market share, at least in the ULV sector. The next generation NVIDIA Turing GeForce RTX cards for consumers are all set to be unveiled in a couple of hours. In the run up to the release, we've been seeing photos of various partner cards pop up on the web. While we've already reported on what PNY has in store, here's a look at offerings from Palit, MSI, Zotac, EVGA, Asus, Gigabyte, and of course from NVIDIA itself.

The new monster processor from AMD might find its way to the list of hardware options available for the Alienware Area-51 desktop gaming PC, but this depends entirely on its level of gaming performance this chip can reach. For now, Alienware and AMD fans should keep their fingers crossed and just wait.

PNY has leaked specs and pricing information for the upcoming NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 and RTX 2080 Ti. The RTX 2080 Ti is listed at US$1,000 while the RTX 2080 is at US$800. The listed prices, however, seem to be placeholders and are likely to change once the new GPU becomes official.

The Ti versions for Nvidia's mid-high and high-end GPUs usually arrive around 9 to 12 months after the launch of the original wave, but this time around, it seems like Nvidia is ready to launch the Ti version of the high-end card together with the regular versions. While the RTX 2080 is rumored to cost US$699 initially, the GTX 2080 Ti could get a US$1,000+ MSRP.

Just two days after Nvidia announces its Turing architecture, Intel has begun to tease its discrete GPU products. Intel has released a trailer intended to garner much hype, but does Intel even stand a chance against RTG and Nvidia? According to its trailer, we will find out in 2020.

Only one week away from the official announcement of the next gen gaming GPUs powered by the Turing architecture, and the leaked benchmarks are already starting to pop up on the Internet. This time it looks like an alleged RTX 2080 made it in the hands of an overzealous tester who stressed it in Ashes of the Singularity on Crazy 4K settings.

The Threadripper 2990WX was already pushed to 5.4 GHz last week, but it looks like there is room for more overclocking when enough liquid nitrogen is used. Overclocker Ivan Cupa managed to get all 32 cores of the 2990WX model running at an outstanding 6 GHz, but there is no way of telling how much better it performs, as no benchmarks were provided.

Phoronix has done a performance comparison of the AMD Threadripper 2990WX in Windows 10 Pro and Linux and the results show Threadripper numbers significantly lower under Windows 10 Pro than in Linux. In some tests such as 7-Zip Compression, the Threadripper 2990WX posted almost 58% higher scores in Linux compared to Windows 10 Pro implying that Linux is a better OS of choice when testing high core count CPUs.

AMD's Threadripper 2990WX has finally launched, and it is officially the fastest CPU in the world. With 32 cores, 64 threads, and an all core frequency of 3.4 GHz, it's a monstrous CPU. However, the path to 32 cores on the desktop is paved with compromises and some disappointments.

The NVIDIA Quadro RTX GPUs implement Samsung's latest 16 Gigabit GDDR6 memory. The enhanced bandwidth of GDDR6 helps in improved performance and memory efficiency while consuming 35% less power. The Quadro RTX is the first product to implement Samsung's GDDR6 VRAM.

The new BI329 mini PC is Zotac's latest model dedicated to the HTPC and IoT markets. As we inch closer to the launch of NVIDIA's next generation GPUs, fresh rumors and leaks have started cropping up on the web. New info points to a possibility of a dual-fan Founders Edition and ray tracing capabilities in the top-tier SKIs. The company has also registered the Turing, Quadro RTX, and GeForce RTX trademarks. AdoredTV, a PC analyst and reviewer, has claimed to have obtained information on Turing from an Nvidia employee. The reviewer previously railed against the idea Nvidia would call their new series 2000 instead of 1000 and was initially skeptical of the employee's credibility. In his latest video, AdoredTV examines these supposed leaked documents, saying "For me, the first believable Turing leak." A bevy of new NVIDIA GeForce and Quadro cards were spotted on the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) website. While the certification entries themselves do not reveal much about the cards, this is one of the last stages before the cards are released into the wild.

The Crimson Canyon NUCs are meant for users who do not really intend to upgrade their systems, as the RAM is soldered and there is already an HDD included. Even though the first custom AIB models for the next gen Nvidia GeForce GTX GPUs are supposed to be announced in early September, MAXSUN - a relatively new Nvidia AIB partner - teased what seems to be like a next generation flagship card that comes with triple-fan custom cooling, RGB lighting and dual slot design.

The gen 9 Core CPUs from Intel were rumored to be launched this October, but it was not clear if they will only work on the new Z390 motherboards. AMD has announced that its latest HEDT CPUs, the Ryzen Threadripper 2, are available for pre-order starting today for a retail launch on August 13. The second generation Ryzen Threadrippers come in multiple SKUs targeting different segments of the enthusiast gaming and content creation market with prices starting from US$649 for the Threadripper 2920X and going all the way up to US$1,799 for the Threadripper 2990WX.

Ryzen is possibly the most prominent form of competition for the Coffee Lake family of chipsets. However, the Intel CPUs have dominated the market since the release of both lines. Now, however, Ryzen appears to have opened a lead on them (if a very slim one) in these terms.

Alleged pictures of what is likely to be the PCB of the upcoming NVIDIA GTX 1180/2080 GPU have cropped up online and reveal quite a few interesting details. The new GPU will feature either 8 GB or 16 GB of GDDR6 VRAM, an 8+2-phase VRM, an NVLink connector, and a USB-C out.

The quad-core 3 GHz Ryzen CPU will integrate a 1.3 GHz Vega-based GPU with 24 Compute Units connected to 8 GB of GDDR5 VRAM. This particular SoC will debut on a gaming console designed specifically for the Chinese market by PC maker Subor. Prices are still unknown.

Initially rumored to be called GTX 20xxx, the next gen Nvidia GPU series seemed like it could actually use the 11xx suffix in the past few months. However, a new Russian ECC certificate for Manli's upcoming Nvidia GPUs informs that the series could use the 20xx denomination after all. Additionally, it mentions that the GPUs use the Ampere architecture.

The first Artifact public demo will be held at PAX West 2018 in early September, and participants at that event will be able to get beta keys to spread around. Artifact will launch on November 28 for US$19.99 on Steam and will feature two 54-card pre-constructed decks plus 10 sealed card packs with 1 guaranteed rare card.

AMD will be supplying new Wraith Ripper coolers designed by Coolermaster that will allow the Threadripper 2990X to hit 4 GHz on all 32 cores on air. This was demonstrated during an AMD event recently held in Maranello, Italy. Getting all 32-cores to boost to 4 GHz on air is a commendable feat, which implies much higher boosts on single and fewer cores.

Turns out that the recent XFastest leak about the 9th generation Intel 'Coffee Lake-S Refresh' was a bit outdated. New slides have emerged that confirm the 9th gen CPU launch in Q3 2018 itself. Adding credence to this is another roadmap via HKEPC that confirms an October 2018 launch window. This will also be the time when the Basin Falls Refresh is expected to launch.

AMD, today, unveiled the B450 chipset aimed at mainstream Ryzen customers. The B450 offers good value for money while also offering some of the features of the more expensive X470 chipset. The B450 chipset is compatible with all Ryzen CPUs and even supports overclocking with low-end motherboards.

HWBOT leaked the core count, TDP and base clocks for the Threadripper 2970X and 2050X CPU models. AMD also mentions the existence of 2990WX and 2970WX models and these are rumored to feature watercoolers. There should also be a 12-core / 24-core 2920X CPU, but no specs have been revealed for this one as of yet.

Leaked slides have revealed that Intel's 9th generation 'Coffee Lake-S Refresh' CPUs such as the Core i9-9900K will be available from Q1 2019. This comes as a surprise as we've been expecting a September 2018 launch so far. The slides also indicate that new 'Cascade Lake X' CPUs will debut by Q4 2018 as anticipated.

The 32-core 64-thread AMD Ryzen Threadripper 2990X gets a listing on CanadaComputers for CA$2,399 or around US$1,835. This is in line with the Cyberport listing last month that showed the price at €1,509. The listing also shows that the new Threadrippers will sport the same retail packaging as the previous generation.

A list of Asus motherboards that will sport the upcoming Intel Z390 chipset were revealed in an Asus support document. The Z390 is spread across the Maximus XI, Strix, Prime, TUF, and Dragon brands.

WCCFTech's sources inform that the GTX 1060 successor should feature 8 GB GDDR6 VRAM and will be launched in late September for around US$500, while the GTX 1070 successor would also get 8 GB VRAM, but will be launched in mid-September for US$600. As for the flagships, these are said to feature 11 GB GDDR6 and would launch in early September for US$700.

Systems powered by Intel 10nm CPUs might hit shelves just in time for the holiday season in 2019. The 10nm part will first be made available to client systems followed by datacenter products. However, Intel feels that 14nm will continue to play a significant role next year as well.

ASRock has started putting stickers on the packaging of its H310 motherboards indicating that the upcoming 8 core Intel CPUs such as the Core i9-9900K and the Core i7-9700K are supported by the H310 chipset as well along with the Z390. Existing H310 boards should be getting a BIOS update that enables support for the new CPUs.

Owners of the iMac Pro and the new 2018 MacBook Pro have turned to Apple forums to report several instances of kernel panics, which trace back to BridgeOS found in the Apple T2 chip. The T2 chip provides support for secure boot, encrypted storage, and the always-on 'Hey Siri' command. Apple is apparently aware but has not publicly acknowledged the issue so an estimated date for a fix is not yet known.

The upcoming Intel 9th generation 'Coffee Lake-S' CPUs will feature a soldered integrated heat spreader instead of a thermal compound. However, this will be limited to only the 8-core Core i9-9900K and the Core i7-9700K while the rest of the lineup will still continue to use a thermal compound.

The Q2 2018 financial report presents revenues totaling US$1.75 billion, of which US$166 million represents net profits. Year over year comparison points out to a 64% increase, even though total revenues are down 3% compared to Q1 2018. Moreover, the crypto market decline took away only 4% from the GPU sales.

According to a leak roadmap presented by Intel at the Chinese University of Changsha City, The Ice Lake scalable processors were pushed to 2020 due to some 10 nm fabrication process issues. Meanwhile, Intel will launch the Copper Lake scalable Xeon CPUs a few months before the Ice Lake family. The roadmap also shows the 28-core Cascade Lake HPC CPU scheduled for an early 2019 release.
