The Meizu 16 will feature a 6-inch screen, a Snapdragon 710 SoC and a 2,950 mAh battery, while the 16 Plus model will come with a 6.5-inch screen, a Snapdragon 845 SoC and a 3,570 mAh battery. Both models get thin side-bezels, no notch, dual rear camera setup and curved glass backs. The official launch date is scheduled for August 8.

Sony's forthcoming flagship refresh, the XZ3 has leaded in fresh renders. Not only will it get a curved edge display, it looks like it will be the recipient of Sony's new 48MP camera module.

The Surface Go created a bit of a splash when Microsoft announced it two weeks ago. After numerous leaks and teasers, the Xiaomi Mi Max 3 is finally here. Xiaomi's new phablet inherits a lot of specifications from the Redmi Note 5 including the Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 SoC and dual cameras but the standout features of the Mi Max 3 are the 6.9-inch FHD+ 18:9 display and its 5,500 mAh battery.

Microsoft's Surface chief Panos Panay recently opened up on the WIRED's Gadget Lab podcast and talked about the Surface Go and its position in the Surface family. However, he categorically denied the possibility of a Surface Phone but did say there will be new form factors and new change in the market.

Leakster Ben Geskin tweeted a photo showing the front glass panels for the three iPhone models Apple is expected to announce this September. All the panels sport the now infamous notch and while all of them are edge-to-edge displays, the 6.1-inch panel has slightly thicker bezels compared to the other two.

A somewhat intriguing listing of a Samsung Galaxy Note 9 powered by the Exynos 9820 has surfaced on Geekbench. The mention of the Exynos 9820 raises a question as to whether there will be two models of the Galaxy Note 9 as the upcoming phablet was originally thought to feature the Exynos 9810 SoC.

AnTuTu's list of the best-performing handheld devices updated for June shows a clear Chinese dominance. Of the ten featured devices, only three are non-Chinese (Samsung Galaxy S9+/S9 and Sony Xperia XZ2). Topping the chart is Xiaomi's Black Shark gaming smartphone, while the last position is occupied by another gaming smartphone - the Nubia Red Magic.

Prominent Microsoft watcher Mary Jo Foley has learnt that Microsoft is still working out the nitty-gritty of the long-rumored Surface Phone or 'Andromeda' device, whose leaks and renders have been doing the rounds on the Internet. The delay in launching the device is apparently being attributed to the unfinished state of the 'Andromeda' shell and other quality and scheduling issues.

Latest rumors claim that Samsung's first foldable phone - the Galaxy X - will be getting flexible batteries with capacities between 3,000 and 6,000 mAh. The foldable 7.3-inch OLED displays that will be featured with the Galaxy X are scheduled to enter production later this summer, and the devices should be ready for launch in Q1 2019, along with the Galaxy S10 models.
