The Redmi K20 is available to order from today (May 24, 2019) after a manner of speaking. Those who wish to pre-order the new flagship phone need to pay a deposit of 100 yuan (about US$14.50) on Mi.com or JD.com. They can then pay the balance on May 28.

In an effort to improve and expand services for its clients, AT&T is now offering the possibility of using Bitcoin to pay for monthly bills. AT&T is collaborating with BitPay, as many of its clients are already suing this payment processor. The Bitcoin payments do not apply to handset purchases and are only available online, not in storefronts.

Qualcomm found violating antitrust laws in Californian court

Californian U.S. District Court judge Lucy Koh ruled in favor of FTC, which charged Qualcomm with antitrust violations involving complete disregard of FRAND practices, forced use of proprietary modems over competing ones, and slowed adoption of competing telecommunications technologies. Qualcomm immediately appealed, but if the higher court decides another hearing is not necessary, companies like Samsung, MediaTek and Huawei could provide competitively priced alternatives.

A certification for what may be 2019 iPhones has allegedly surfaced on the Eurasian Economic Commission's database. The submission details a total of 11 different model numbers apparently associated with the Apple brand. They may represent different SKUs of the XR, XS and XS Max's successors.

Considering its high-end specifications, it’s obviously important that the exterior matches the attraction of the interior. A recent survey run by Blind shed some light on what various tech employees think of Apple and the App Store. Apple's own employees largely believe the company doesn't hold a monopoly on iOS app distribution, but other companies (namely Qualcomm and Spotify) believe that Apple's App Store constitutes a monopoly. The survey comes as a response to a recent Supreme Court ruling upholding the validity of a lawsuit filed against Apple for monopolistic practices.

LG X6 specs leaked on Android Enterprise Catalog, possible Geekbench spotting

LG is apparently looking to refresh its entry-level X-series with the X6 handheld that looks very similar to the unreleased Q60. The only confirmed specs include a 6.3-inch display with a teardrop notch, 64 GB storage, at least 3 GB of RAM, a fingerprint scanner (on the back most likely) and the out-of-the-box Android 9.0 OS. Geekbench reveals that the X6 could be powered by a Snapdragon 625 SoC and may come with 4 GB of RAM.

Huawei reportedly in talks with Aptoide for a Google Play Store alternative

Huawei and Aptoide are reportedly in talks to offer an alternative to the Google Play Store after Google decided to suspend all commercial engagements, including Android licensing, with Huawei following a recent executive order by the US Government. Aptoide boasts of over 900,000 apps and almost 200 million users making it an interesting prospect for Huawei to consider. Aptoide CEO Paulo Trezentos has, however, ruled out any chances of a merger with Huawei at the moment.

Intel used to be the biggest semiconductor maker up until 2017, when Samsung began ramping up the DRAM and NAND memory chip production. Now that memory chip demand is bottoming out and Intel is almost out of the woods with the CPU shortages, Samsung drops to second position again, but things could change by Q4 2019 when the DDR5 memory standard is expected to hit the market.
