Dell Mobile Connect is to receive an update in spring 2020 that will allow users of smartphones operating on iOS to access the same amount of functions and usability as those who prefer an Android-based device. This essentially means that wireless operations, such as file drag and drop and app mirroring, will become available on iOS.
Previously, iPhone users had to rely on a connection via a cable to utilize Dell Mobile Connect while those with Android smartphones could enjoy wireless transfer. The update will let owners of iOS-based equipment fully integrate their device with Dell Mobile Connect and thus operate their smartphone via a Dell PC, including those computers found in the popular XPS, Inspiron, Vostro, and Alienware lineups.
Dell Mobile Connect was launched in January 2018 and has been used by over one million users, who have accessed the application to make or receive 150 million calls and texts. With the spring 2020 update, iOS-based device users will get the full service that allows increased harmony between a laptop or desktop PC and a smartphone.
