Samsung released two new devices -the Galaxy S10 Lite and Galaxy Note 10 Lite- earlier this week. We've known about these devices for quite some time now, thanks to a slew of leaks. The company says that it'll tell us more about the pricing and availability of both smartphones at CES 2020.
What we do know is that Galaxy S10 Lite will be available for sale in India, as it just surfaced on popular e-commerce platform Flipkart. It is just a promotional page that highlights some key features of the device and is 'lite' on other details. Rumors estimate that it'll cost around the $650 mark.
The Galaxy S10 Lite has all the bearings of a flagship device. It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 SoC and comes with 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage. It features a 6.7-inch FHD+ AMOLED panel with a pixel density of 394 PPI. The rear camera array consists of a 48 MP sensor assisted by a 12 MP ultra-wide lens and a 5 MP macro lens. It also boasts of 'super steady OIS', which is reportedly better than the Galaxy S10 series' image stabilization. There is 32 MP front-facing camera for selfies. Lastly, it runs Android 10 out of the box and is powered by a 4,500 mAh battery.
Samsung does not want to steal the Galaxy S11/Galaxy S20's thunder by launching two less-powerful devices alongside it, so the CES 2020 launch date makes perfect sense. Both devices are ideal for users want a comprehensive Samsung experience without committing $1,000 for a flagship.
