Flipkart has announced the addition of laptops to its MarQ sub-brand. The Walmart-owned Indian e-commerce giant's MarQ sub-brand already includes a variety of home appliances including TVs, refrigerators, ACs, microwave ovens, and washing machines. In 2017, the company also toyed with the idea of launching its own smartphone, the Billion Capture+. Now, on the sidelines of CES 2020, Flipkart is expanding the MarQ sub-brand with the addition of the Falkon Aerbook powered by Intel Whiskey Lake processors.
According to Flipkart, the MarQ Falkon Aerbook is designed in collaboration with Intel and Microsoft. It features a 13.3-inch FHD display with fairly thin side bezels. The laptop is about 16.5mm thick and weighs 1.26kg. The AerBook is powered by an Intel Core i5 8th gen processor (exact SKU not specified), 8 GB of RAM, and a 256 GB SSD. A dedicated SSD slot to expand storage up to 1 TB is also available. Other specs include a precision touchpad with multi-gesture support and a 37 Wh battery that can offer up to 5 hours of usage.
Buyers of the Falkon Aerbook get to experience door-step warranty in about 10,000+ pincodes across India and dedicated customer support on all days from 9 AM to 9 PM. The MarQ Falkon Aerbook will go on sale on Flipkart.com from January 17 with prices starting from ₹39,990 (US$564).
