Snapdragon 865-powered OnePlus 8 Pro appears on Geekbench with 12 GB of RAM running Android 10
Leaks about the upcoming OnePlus 7 successor, dubbed the OnePlus 8, have been coming by at a steady rate. It is being rumored that we may get to see a total of three phones this year viz. the OnePlus 8, OnePlus 8 Pro, and a OnePlus 8 Lite. While we've only seen renders and purported specs of the upcoming OnePlus devices so far, this is the first time we are getting to see an actual benchmark result of the OnePlus 8 Pro.
The Geekbench listing goes by the name GALILEI IN2023, which seems to feature 12 GB RAM and runs on Android 10. The motherboard name 'kona' indicates that the device is powered by the Snapdragon 865 (as expected). The single-core score of 4,296 and the multi-core score of 12,531 further confirm that the OnePlus 8 Pro would be powered by Qualcomm's latest and greatest SoC.
Rumors so far indicate that the OnePlus 8 Pro could feature a 6.7-inch QHD+ AMOLED 120 Hz display with 50W Super Warp fast charging, and a possible IP53 rating for ingress protection. The OnePlus 8, however, is expected to stick to the FHD+/90 Hz combination while the new OnePlus 8 Lite could sport the MediaTek Dimensity 1000L SoC, which was shown to handily beat the Snapdragon 765G in leaked benchmarks.
OnePlus could time the 8 series launch sometime in February or March, possibly to steal some limelight away from the Galaxy S11 launch around the same time.
