OPPO unveils an Android 10 beta program for the F11 and F11 Pro
OPPO has announced that there is now a "Trial Upgrade" of ColorOS 7 for the F11 smartphone series. This OS is based on Android 10, and is the first version to become available for these devices. Their users can apply to join this new beta via their Settings menus.
OPPO's F11 line of phones are powered by the MediaTek Helio P70, and stands out thanks to its Pro variant with a pop-up selfie camera module. Despite being released in mid-2019, these phones remain on ColorOS 6 based on Android 9.0. Now, however, it appears the OEM has a major upgrade to this OS in progress.
The company has invited F11 series users to take part in a "Trial Upgrade" program, which updates selected units to ColorOS 7. It is open to the F11 and F11 Pro, as well as this phone's Marvel's Avengers Limited Edition.
Users can apply to be part of this beta program via the "Trial Version" menu, which is accessed through the Settings icon on the Software Update page in Settings on OPPO phones. ColorOS 7 for the F11 or F11 Pro adds features such as a "borderless design" for the UI; a new camera interface; a new font (OPPO Sans) and ringtones that change according to the weather.

I became a professional writer and editor shortly after graduation. My degrees are in biomedical sciences; however, they led to some experience in the biotech area, which convinced me of its potential to revolutionize our health, environment and lives in general. This developed into an all-consuming interest in more aspects of tech over time: I can never write enough on the latest electronics, gadgets and innovations. My other interests include imaging, astronomy, and streaming all the things. Oh, and coffee.
