OPPO's newest middle- to high-end smartphone series Reno now has new products on sale in Germany. They are the 2 and 2 Z variants of this line-up, despite the fact that the 3 and 3 Pro have been released as well. On the other hand, this selection contains the latest iteration of the OEM's innovative "shark-fin" selfie camera.
This is found in the Reno2, whereas the 2 Z has a more conventional square pop-up module, as with other 2019 phones such as the Redmi K20, OnePlus 7 Pro and Motorola One Hyper. The Snapdragon 730G-powered Reno2 features 5x hybrid zoom and 20x digital zoom as part of its quad 48MP rear camera set-up, whereas the 2 Z has a MediaTek Helio P90 SoC and a comparatively higher 119-degree ultra-wide angle mode.
Despite these interesting specs, the 2 phones remain on the Android 9.0- (Pie) based ColorOS 6.1, even though OPPO has also released a newer version of this skin with the OS' latest major upgrade. The Reno2 is available in its Luminous Black or Ocean Blue colorways, whereas the 2 Z comes in just Luminous Black.
They will be sold through the prominent retailers Amazon.de, Saturn, OTTO or Cyberport in their new country. The Reno2's price has been set at €499 (~US$545), whereas that of the 2 Z is €369 (~$403). However, Amazon currently offers discounts as an introductory promo for this device.
