A popular tech YouTuber has shown off what he claims to be a phone with an unprecedented 44MP sensor in its dual in-display selfie camera. This device, which is yet to be launched, was not identified in terms of its name, specs or manufacturer. However, it is likely that it will be a premium model released this year.

The UK YouTuber Mrwhosetheboss (aka Arun Maini) has taken to Twitter with what he asserts is an upcoming phone with the "world's FIRST 44MP dual punch-hole front camera". This could make it the best selfie camera on the market on the unnamed phone's release. However, the vlogger left its identity to the imagination.

This, of course, gave rise to a wave of speculation as to who may have made this ground-breaking device. Some users guessed Huawei, whereas others went with Xiaomi, none of which were affirmed on Maini's part. However, a second YouTuber, Frankie Tech (or Frankie Herrera), may have gotten somewhat warmer.

Based on the similarity between the phone's wallpaper and one of his own, Herrera proposed that this new phone, like the Reno3 Pro, is from the OEM OPPO. Coincidentally, this company is also now linked to a 2nd-gen Find X flagship, and given the mystery phone's prospective ultra-premium spec, it is possible that they are one and the same. However, there is no additional weight to this theory as yet.
