Zendure launches the MIX GO, a hybrid 45W wall charger/power bank, on Indiegogo
What if your USB type C notebook charger could also power your phone? This is the question the OEM Zendure answers with its new product, the MIX GO. It combines a conventional wall plug with a 5000mAh battery, and can deliver power at a maximum rate of 45W with USB Power Delivery (PD).
It is far from the first such 2-in-1 mobile device/laptop charger on the market. However, with its up-to-date GaN charging standard, it may stand out from the rest. Therefore, a user may be able to leave their MacBook charger at home and simply use the MIX GO with their ultrabook, as well as any other personal devices they may also have with them.
However, on that note, Zendure appears to have fallen behind a little: the latest Apple laptops can charge at up to 60W, whereas the MIX GO appears intended to replace 30W power bricks from this company. Then again, this product does also have the advantage of a 5000mAh battery in a form-factor of only 3x3x1.3 inches.
The power-bank aspect of the MIX GO charges at up to 15W. However, the OEM asserts that, with its new ZEN+ technology, devices attached will power up quickly. This product has a US plug type (that folds down neatly into its casing), but will ship with EU and UK adapters in its Global version.
It is available on Zendure's new Indiegogo page, which has rewards starting at US$59. This campaign, despite having only launched today (January 7, 2020), has already attained about 20% of its $30,000 flexible goal (correct at time of writing).
