OnePlus has released the OxygenOS 10.3.3 update for OnePlus 7T and OnePlus 7T Pro. The update lets users record slow-motion videos at 960fps, adds a 'lens smudge detection' feature to the camera app, and more. It is rolling out in India and will be available globally in the coming weeks.

According to a new report, the mobile device OEM OPPO is making progress with its dream of constructing a team to rival Huawei's HiSilicon division. This would enable it to build its own in-house chipsets, as this company and Samsung do. The move may enhance OPPO's efficacy as a global electronics player.

Redmi has unveiled two new affordable 5G-ready smartphones for the Chinese market. The Samsung Galaxy S20 series was launched back in February, and it's now been about three months since the phones hit shelves. Sales numbers are out, and it would seem that the S20 phones have sold considerably less than the S10 series did over the same period last year.

Realme just launched the Realme X50 Pro Player edition in China for RMB 2,999 (approx US$420). The flagship-killer sports a Snapdragon 865, vapor cooling, a 90 Hz panel, and 65W fast charging.

Months after releasing the Redmi K30 5G, Xiaomi has now launched another K30-series phone. The Redmi K30i 5G is a "lite" version of the K30 5G and offers similar specs bar one notable change while costing a bit less.

After months of rumors, the Sony Xperia 1 II has now gotten an official release date. The phone will go on sale in the US on July 24, five whole months after it was announced. It will carry an MSRP of US$1200, although early takers also get a free pair of Sony's WF-1000XM3 earbuds worth US$200.

Back in February, Huawei claimed that the Mate 10 Pro and P20 Pro would receive the EMUI 10 update in March. Here we are months after, though, and most owners of the two phones remain stuck on EMUI 9.1. Huawei has put its latest 5G smartphone, the Enjoy Z, up for preorder. Unlike many new devices with this connectivity, it comes in at under US$300 for this state-of-the-art connectivity. The Z is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 800 SoC and starts with 6GB of RAM.

LG Poland recently released a highly objectionable video on its official TikTok channel in a bid to promote the V60 ThinQ's dual screen accessory. The ad, instead of promoting the phone and the accessory, seemed to promote sexism. LG has now taken down the ad and has issued an apology.

Reports over the past few months have claimed Huawei would release the Mate 40 Pro with a Kirin 1020 under the hood. That appears to have been false, though, as the next-gen flagship SoC will likely be the Kirin 1000 instead. The chipset will be built on TSMC's 5nm node.
