Reports over the past few months have claimed Huawei would release the Mate 40 Pro with a Kirin 1020 under the hood. That appears to have been false, though, as the next-gen flagship SoC will likely be the Kirin 1000 instead. The chipset will be built on TSMC's 5nm node.
