Today, (November 5, 2020) Google has released the 5G variant of the Pixel 4a for pre-orders in Germany, France, the UK and Ireland. As with its flagship sibling, the 5, they come with an offer of free Bose wireless headphones with each order (while stocks last). The same phone is also now live in Taiwan and Australia.

Google has made Pixel 4a (5G) pre-orders live in France, Germany, Ireland and the UK. They are about €499 (~US$589, with some variation per market) or £499 (~$653) in their new markets. However, they are also eligible for the offer of a free pair of Bose QuietComfort 35 IIs per order as the Pixel 5.

This promotion runs from November 5 (today) to 18, 2020, and is subject to limited stock. A buyer will need to follow the instructions on this page in order to avail of their potential new headphones.

At the time of writing, the Pixel 4a (5G) appears to be in stock and has working pre-order buttons on all 4 regional Google Store websites. However, there is no mention of a shipping date for the devices.

This new phone, which has just one 6GB RAM/128GB internal storage SKU in its OEM's Just Black colorway, comes with the same Snapdragon 765G processor and dual rear cameras as the Pixel 5.

However, its chassis is polycarbonate, meaning it may be a little less durable than that higher-end aluminium phone. Then again, it has yet to exhibit the screen-peeling hardware issues as the new Google flagship.
