Fully compatible with the brand-new AMD Ryzen 5000 desktop processors, G.SKILL's Trident Z Neo DDR4 memory kits feature low-latency CL14 timings, up to 4000 MHz frequencies, and come in capacities that go all the way up to 64 GB. Sales will kick off before the end of the month.

The barely-released world's fastest desktop processors by AMD need the best memory money can get as well, so G.SKILL has just announced new DDR4 Trident Z Neo series memory kits optimized for the Ryzen 5000 series. Described as "the perfect choice for PC enthusiasts and gamers looking to push memory bandwidth to the extreme limits on the new AMD Ryzen 5000 processors," the kits go all the way up to 4000 MHz.

Without further ado, these are all the details a potential buyer needs to know about the aforementioned memory kits (frequency, CL timing, voltage, kit capacity):

  • 3600 MHz, 14-15-15-35, 1.45 V, 2 X 16 GB / 4 X 16 GB
  • 3800 MHz, 14-16-16-36, 1.5 V, 2 X 16 GB
  • 3800 MHz, 16-19-19-39, 1.4 V, 2 X 8 GB 4 X 8 GB, 2 X 16 GB
  • 3800 MHz, 18-22-22-42, 1.4 V, 2 X 8 GB 4 X 8 GB, 2 X 16 GB, 2 X 32 GB

  • 4000 MHz, 18-22-22-42, 1.4 V, 2 X 32 GB

According to the official press release, these new memory kits use high-performance Samsung B-die components, a rather interesting fact since Samsung has decided to discontinue the production of these parts a year ago. For now, there are no prices to talk about, but the Trident Z Neo DDR4 kits should hit G.SKILL's worldwide distribution partners before the end of the month.

Although I have been writing about new software and hardware for almost a decade, I consider myself to be old school. I always enjoy listening to music on CD or tape instead of digital files and I will not even get into the touchscreen vs physical keys debate. However, I also enjoy new technology, as I now have the chance to take a look at the future every day. I joined the Notebookcheck crew back in 2013 and I have no plans to leave the ship anytime soon.
