Huawei finishes EMUI 10.1 upgrade plan in another region
Huawei has finished rolling out EMUI 10.1 in North-Eastern Europe, following the culmination of the upgrade plan for Africa and the Middle East last month. To date, Huawei has now finished upgrading devices to EMUI 10.1 in eight regions, including the lies of Western Europe, Russia, Central Asia and Japan.
EMUI 10.1 had already been delivered to most eligible devices in North-Eastern Europe, such as the Mate 20 and P30 series. The Mate Xs and Nova 5T were the only devices outstanding, but Huawei claims that 'all users' should have now received its Android 10-based update. It has taken Huawei four months to do so in the case of the Nova 5T, though.
Huawei now only has to finish its upgrade plan in Latin America to have finished rolling out EMUI 10.1 globally. The company has not updated this plan since mid-September, so it is overdue a revision. However, Huawei has only delivered EMUI 10.1 to two devices in the region, with six other devices receiving the update in batches.
