Some details about the OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro have started appearing along with the surprising revelation that there will apparently be a third mystery device in the series, which could end up possibly being a OnePlus 9 Ultra smartphone. Five model numbers have been posted, with one pertaining to the regular OnePlus 9, three for the Pro model (could be three different RAM + storage configurations), and one for the mystery device:
- OnePlus 9: LE2110
- OnePlus 9 Pro: LE2117, LE2119, LE2120
- Other OnePlus 9 device (“Ultra”): LE2127
Along with the model numbers, some alleged specifications have been offered up for the OnePlus 9 smartphones, which should be taken with a pinch of salt for the time being. Along with the aforementioned Snapdragon 875 and 144 Hz AMOLED screen, NFC will be onboard, there will be an IP68 water and dustproof rating, dual stereo speakers and a centered punch-hole cutout for the selfie camera, which would be a change from the left-hand side positioning used on the OnePlus 8.
There’s also mention of 40 W wireless charging and 65 W wired charging, which we have reported on before thanks to the recent certification of a OnePlus power charger. There’s also a repeated claim that the OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro (and “OnePlus 9 Ultra” maybe?) will make an appearance in March 2021, which has also been previously rumored.
