The TUV Rheinland body has reportedly certified a new power supply unit (PSU) from the OEM OnePlus. This apparent next-gen Warp Charger is rated for a maximal rate of 10 volts (V)/6.5 amps (A) - or 65 watts (W). Therefore, it could boost charging speeds using this company's in-house system considerably.

Warp Charge may be prized among OnePlus fans as it allows for the rapid charging of this OEM's phones, in which the batteries grow in terms of capacity by the generation. As a proprietary standard with its own bricks and cables, it can leave standard alternatives such as Qualcomm QuickCharge far behind when used with compatible devices. Now, a new leak suggests its next upcoming version is going to get even faster.

TUV Rheinland has reportedly documented that a new charging brick from the brand in question has passed through its testing. This shows that the new accessory can charge at up to 65W. This may mean that the standard may end up called Warp Charge 65, as the first 30W version from OnePlus was Warp Charge 30.

Therefore, this new generation of the OEM's chargers could equal those of OPPO's SuperVOOC 2.0 bricks, which are shipped with new premium phones such as the Ace2 to charge their 4000mAh batteries in as little as 30 minutes. In fact, since this company and OnePlus are both under the BBK Electronics umbrella, this is probably more or less the case.

Given that the 65W brick from the former is apparently now cleared for safe use, it may form part of this company's next flagship prospect. Therefore, it could take the stage at the OnePlus 8T/8T Pro launch (presuming one is indeed going ahead this year) or, alternatively, ship in 2021 with the 9.
