Verdict — Strong OLED Display For A Midrange Gamer
When compared to last year's Legion 5 15IRX10, the Legion 5 15IAX11 sports a slightly larger and higher resolution display (15.3-inch vs. 15.1-inch), up to 30 percent faster CPU performance, and revised port options. Most notably, the larger screen does not entail larger dimensions or a heavier weight. These changes alone make the Legion 5 15IAX11 worth considering over the older Legion 5 15IRX10 even though they are otherwise nearly identical in terms of chassis design and materials.
An immediately noticeable drawback to the system is its very glossy display that appears more reflective than on most other gaming laptops. While this contributes to a sharper picture, some gamers may be turned off by the almost unavoidable reflections. The speakers could have also been louder especially since the fans can be quite noisy if gaming on Performance mode. We nonetheless praise the presence of OLED G-Sync and Advanced Optimus both of which are relatively uncommon on budget-to-midrange gaming laptops.

The Lenovo Legion 5i 15IAX11 is now shipping at Best Buy for $2300 as configured for this review.
The Lenovo Legion 5 15IAX11 is a midrange gaming laptop with a relatively uncommon screen size of 15.3-inches. It sports a newer Arrow Lake Core Ultra 7 251HX CPU instead of the Raptor Lake Core i7-13650HX as found on last year's model, but it otherwise sports the same chassis design as the recent AMD-based Legion 5 15AGP11.
Our test unit is a higher-end configuration with the aforementioned Arrow Lake CPU, 105 W to 115 W GeForce RTX 5070 graphics, and a 1800p 165 Hz OLED display. Other SKUs may ship with RTX 5060 graphics and AMD processors instead. It's worth noting that our specific test unit has been configured with 16 GB of single-channel RAM which can be upgraded to dual-channel if desired by adding a second module.
Competitors include other slim midrange gaming models like the Razer Blade 16, Gigabyte G5, or the HP Omen Transcend series.
