A battery of benchmarks has revealed the potential performance differences between the 2021 Apple iMac 24 with a single fan and the higher-end model with two fans. The dual-fan iMac 24 gained around a 10% performance advantage over the single-fan model, which struggled to keep its M1 Apple Silicon at an optimal temperature.

The Intel Core i9-11900KB, Core i7-11700B, Core i5-11500B, and Core i3-11100B are now official. All four desktop processors are based on the 10nm Tiger Lake architecture. They are custom-made for small form-factor machines and may not be available to the general public.

NVIDIA is expected to announce the GeForce RTX 3080 Ti on May 31, its latest GA102-based graphics card. A leak has not only confirmed that NVIDIA plans to sell a GeForce RTX 3080 Ti Founders Edition, but it has also provided a hands-on look at its design.

NVIDIA is seemingly only a few days away from announcing the GeForce RTX 3070 Ti, but marketing renders of two Gigabyte cards have already leaked. Acer has refreshed its Predator Orion 300 (P03-630) gaming desktop with current-generation hardware, including an Intel Core i7-11700 processor, Nvidia GeForce RTX 3070 graphics card. Gamers can buy the entry-level SKU in June 2021 for EUR 1,099 (US$1,337).

The recently released 2021 24-inch Apple iMac all-in-one desktop computer with M1 SoC comes in three variants, with the differences mostly listed on Apple’s website. However, cooling system differences between the base iMac 24 and mid-tier iMac 24 have seemingly been omitted, even though they could affect the performance of the M1 Apple Silicon.

In the first part of its latest teardown, iFixit reveals just how tiny the logic board of the new M1 iMac actually is. Most of the interior of the desktop is taken up by two huge metal plates; all the computing hardware is contained on a board that seems to take up less than 10% of the interior volume.

Razer has started taking pre-orders for pre-built systems containing the RTX 3070 Ti and RTX 3080 Ti, confirming the impending launch of both cards. Both will be available with AMD Ryzen 5000X CPUs.
