Opinion: Foldable makers should be applauded for taking a risk, not torn down

It has been surprising to read a number of major tech blogs bashing the Galaxy Fold and foldable devices in general. The danger is, however, that such criticism isn't likely to go unnoticed with the risk that smartphone makers may shy away from the category. Even if some of the criticism is fair, let's hope it doesn't scare OEM's from taking a risk on releasing potentially game changing devices.

Today, (December 29, 2019) Xiaomi's CEO Lu Weibing posted to Weibo claiming that the OEM opened no less than 100 brick-and-mortar stores in its native China. These outlets, which were apparently full of potential customers interested in the new Redmi K30 5G, all reportedly started trading at the same time. This achievement rounds off a good 2019 for the company.

Currently, there is a limit to the size of an MP4 file that can be saved on non-Apple phones, and it is typically 4GB. However, further development on this issue may have resulted in the ability to multiply this by up to 4X. It may take effect in an upcoming version of this OS, such as Android 11.

Mysterious listing on Geekbench could be the Snapdragon 765

A new listing in Geekbench 5's database shows benchmark results for what may be the Snapdragon 765. The SoC in the listing looks similar to the CPU of the upcoming Oppo Reno 3 Pro, which will use the 765. If these listings are legitimately the Snapdragon 765, they place the chip just behind 2018's Snapdragon 845.
