While the Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra is a powerhouse of a smartphone, it's suffered from a few issues. One of the most widespread these days appears to be a defect with the phone's camera glass. There have been multiple accounts of owners randomly finding their phones with a damaged camera glass, supposedly even without any impact. Thankfully, though, case maker Nillkin seems to offer something tailored to counter that.
Nillkin is offering a series of cases—the Camshield Pro Cover Case—for the Samsung Galaxy S20 lineup. The cases offer a dedicated sliding camera glass protector. With the S20 and S20+, the slider moves horizontally. On the S20 Ultra, however, due to the larger module, the slider moves vertically.
Of course, this case is only useful if the camera glasses are actually getting damaged due to reasons other than physical pressure or impact. One theory is that the glass shatters after expanding and contracting due to the poor thermal implications of the Exynos 990, and we can hardly see how this case would be useful in such a scenario. In any case—heh—it still offers some much-needed protection to the huge camera hump on the S20 Ultra at the very least. Hard to argue against that.
Do note that this is neither a sponsored post, nor an endorsement of the product. Notebookcheck doesn't even earn any revenue from affiliates on this. We'd include an Amazon affiliate link but the Camshield Pro Cover Case isn't on Amazon right now. Interested buyers would be best served visiting the Nillkin website, or going through a trusted third-party online store like Aliexpress.
