Contrary to some Korean sources that were previously claiming the S-Pen support would not be added to the Fold 2, the latest leaks point out that Samsung's S-Pens will indeed work with the upcoming foldable. Additionally, the inner screen is getting an upgraded 120 Hz panel and both outer and inner displays now feature punch-hole cameras.

Huawei's patents show two designs with fully exposed displays on the back, which eliminates the need for front cams, as users can easily turn the phone and take selfies. One of the designs comes with a sliding screen that extends by 30%, while the other design's screen can extend by up to 50%.

BOE has announced that it will make more displays that support Qualcomm's 3D Sonic fingerprint sensor technology in the future. These panels will also be of more types and for more use-cases than ever before. This includes flexible OLEDs and internet-of-things (IoT) components.

Additionally, the upcoming Galaxy Fold 2 will get a larger inner screen measuring almost 8 inch in diagonal and the reduced price is said to be Samsung's market adjustment measure due to expected declining sales in 2H 2020, which may also lead to reduced prices for the Note 20 and Galaxy S21 models.

YouTube teardown specialists iFixit has posted its disassembly video for the Huawei Mate Xs. This device has a flexible display found on the outer face of its phablet form-factor. It has also now been found to contain various serious obstacles to getting at its internal components.

Rumour has it that we will not be seeing the Surface Neo or Windows 10X this holiday season after all. Thought to be because of the pandemic, the delay means that there will be no Windows 10X devices this year, either. Are we surprised? Not really.

The YouTuber JerryRigEverything (or Zach Nelson) has conducted his traditional post-durability test teardown of the Motorola Razr 2020. This video revealed how its maker intends to keep the internals free of dust, as well as other possible destructive forces. This means it has some unusual attributes that the equally foldable Galaxy Z Flip lacks.

Samsung's second-generation foldable phone was launched along with claims that the OEM had made some strides in keeping this form-factor clear of potentially destructive dust and debris. A new video by teardown specialists iFixit may have called this marketing into question with a colorful experiment.

A new peek function for the upcoming Microsoft Surface Duo foldable device has been leaked. Succeeding the Mate X, the Mate Xs features an 8-inch OLED panel when unfolded. The Kirin 990 5G-powered device comes with 8 GB of RAM and 512 GB of RAM, along with an improved hinge design over its predecessor. The price? A whopping €2,499.

Instead of going the foldable way, TCL is experimenting with some other ways to implement flexible screens. The slide-out concept essentially provides the same screen estate but without the awful crease in the middle and possibly reinforcing the durability of the flexible screen. One downside for this design could be the slightly thicker handsets.

Fresh leaks about the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Fold 2 indicate that the device's display is likely to be made of ultra-thin glass like the recently launched Galaxy Z Flip. The Fold 2 is also tipped to feature an under-display camera and is expected to launch sometime in July, around the same time as the Galaxy Note 20.

The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip has received much criticism owing to its highly fragile display. While durability tests do not show any indications of the display being made of glass, a closer examination does confirm the company's claims of using ultra-thin glass under a protective plastic layer. However, Samsung's marketing gives the impression that the Galaxy Z Flip's glass display is as reliable and scratch-proof as any other smartphone.

The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip's default keyboard seems to have a bug that automatically lowercases any letter typed in uppercase and this behavior is persistent even after fiddling around with the settings. It is not a big deal-breaker though, as users can still install third-party keyboards such as Gboard or SwiftKey.

Intel's Lakefield chips are smaller than the usual CPUs, as they stack most components in order to reduce size and improve energy efficiency, much like smartphone SoCs nowadays. According to new 3DMark tests, these chips are certainly not meant for gaming, as they barely match a Celeron G3900 + Nvidia MX250 combo, but they will most likely take energy efficiency to the next level.

The Surface Duo spotted in the wild appears to be a pre-production sample that is tested by Microsoft employees. The announcement coincides with reports of Escobar Inc failing to deliver Escobar Fold 1 units and refusing to issue refunds among other red flags, though.
