Cezanne APUs are almost upon us, and the USB-IF has offered a hint of what is to come from AMD this year. The company plans to release Cezanne-based desktop processors and a top-tier mobile chip called the Ryzen 9 5980HX.

An owner of a Xiaomi Mi Band 5 fitness tracker has taken to Reddit to report about the gadget exploding while it was being charged. Apparently, it was the global version of the Mi Band 5 wearable and was not a copy or mishandled in any way. Issues likes this have been frequently reported in regard to smartphones, such as the notorious Samsung Galaxy Note 7 episode.

An AMD Ryzen 9 5900H APU has been tested on various synthetic benchmarks as part of a Mechrevo gaming laptop that also comes with an Nvidia GeForce RTX 30 GPU. The results for the Zen 3 Ryzen 9 5900H chip in Cinebench showed welcome generational performance improvements over fellow 8-core chips Ryzen 9 4900HS and Intel Core i7-10875H.

Quite unexpectedly, Xiaomi has now started the Android 11 rollout for the Redmi Note 8. Honor's first phone of 2021 is said to be powered by a MediaTek chipset. However, according to a new report, its next launch after that may feature a Snapdragon processor instead. Now that it is out from under the Huawei umbrella, it can partner with Qualcomm to make "normal" Android phones again.

Non-South Korean variants of the LG Wing are already lagging behind in terms of software improvements. While LG delivered new multitasking features to the South Korean edition of the Wing in early November, it has taken almost two months for the update to arrive in the US.

NVIDIA plans to release Ampere-based graphics cards with Ultra branding, of which the RTX 3060 Ultra may be the first. The first leak of the RTX 3060 Ultra confirms that it will have 12 GB of GDDR6 VRAM and that it should arrive later this month.

A South Korean news outlet has heard from an industry insider that Krafton is reportedly working on a PUBG and PUBG Mobile successor. Strictly speaking, the former can't be considered an actual successor, as it will only set in the PUBG universe. One of the two games is set to be unveiled by June 2021.

Lenovo has improved the CPU performance of the current ThinkPad X1 Extreme, but the Intel CPU is still inferior to AMD's current processors. The Galaxy S21 series may be Samsung's next flagship products, but the South Korean company has other exciting devices in the works too. According to several pictures, Samsung plans to announce not only the Galaxy Buds Pro, but the Galaxy SmartTags also.

Apple may very well introduce the much anticipated AirTags and other AR accessories such as an AR headset and/or AR glasses this year, according to Ming-Chi Kuo's latest research note. Kuo also notes that Apple will launch new Apple Silicon-powered MacBook Pros with mini-LED displays. Another report from DigiTimes speculates that all iPhone 13 models this year will be equipped with a LiDAR sensor.
