A new leak alleges the imminent launch of Samsung's first Galaxy M-series tablet
Samsung already makes Galaxy Tab A- and Tab S-series tablets, which are more budget and premium respectively. Now, a new leak suggests the OEM is planning a new Galaxy Tab M-line to go with them. Should this be the case, it might fit into the mid-range, as its corresponding, increasingly popular phones are.
This new rumor is based on photos of what are allegedly manufacturing samples for the frame of a device apparently called the Galaxy Tab M62. The components could be said to have phablet or tablet dimensions, and certainly has a central punch-hole, as do many of the OEM's existing and upcoming phones.
On the other hand, a prior leak has pointed to a device with the Galaxy M62 (with no hint of "Tab") name; therefore, it is unclear whether this phone and the new alleged slate are one and the same.
However, it would make a bit of sense for this rumored product to be a tablet, as it is also slated to launch with 256GB of internal storage, whereas the Galaxy Ms are historically under-served in this regard.
Then again, the "M62" is also now linked to the model number SM-M625F, which follows Samsung's conventions for smartphones, and has not been mentioned in conjunction with anything else tablet-like, such as pen support.
In addition, it is far from an official launch announcement, although 91Mobiles asserts that this will be directed at the Indian market, initially at least.
