The Samsung Galaxy A31 was launched back in April. Samsung already has the successor to that phone—the Galaxy A32—in the works and it has now surfaced on Geekbench posting performance numbers that soundly eclipse its predecessor's.

Samsung's Galaxy A series has offered consistently better phones with each generation and it appears that one of the next devices in the lineup, the Galaxy A32, will continue that trend. The phone has now been spotted on Geekbench, with some impressive performance numbers.

The Galaxy A32 will succeed the Galaxy A31 and promises to offer better performance, as it will leapfrog from the Helio P65 on the A31 to the more powerful MediaTek Dimensity 720. In the single-core test, the Galaxy A32 earns a score of 478. In the multi-core test, it makes do with a score of 1595.

We've tested the Galaxy A31 in the past, and that phone recorded scores of 351 and 1257 in the single and multi-core tests respectively. When compared to this leaked Galaxy A32 listing, that represents about a 30% improvement in CPU performance across generations. Solid by all metrics.

A launch date for the Galaxy A32 is unknown but we expect it to debut sometime in Q1 2021.
