The Aorus 15P WB is a slim, compact gaming laptop in the 15.6-inch format. The test device provided to us is powered by a Core i7-10750H processor and a GeForce RTX 2070 Max-Q graphics core. This CPU-GPU combination brings all modern games smoothly onto the screen. Full HD resolution and high to maximum quality settings can usually be selected.
The hardware is supported by 16 GB of RAM (2x 8 GB, dual-channel mode). An expansion to up to 64 GB is possible. The storage capacity of 512 GB (NVMe SSD, M.2 2280) is modest. Should the capacity of the installed SSD run out, it could be replaced or a second NVMe SSD could be retrofitted, since a second M.2 2280 slot is available. As the bottom cover can be removed without any difficulty, upgrade or maintenance procedures would be easy to perform.
The display (Full HD, IPS, 144 Hz) offers stable viewing angles, a matte surface, fast response times, good color reproduction, and decent color-space coverage. Maximum brightness and contrast should be higher, though. The battery life can be described as being very good for a gaming laptop. The computer achieves practical runtimes of 7 to 8 hours with one battery charge. Most office laptops don't come close to such rates. The large-capacity battery (94.24 Wh) pays off here.
