Now that the Android 11 based One UI 3.0 update has arrived on the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 series, it was only a matter of time before it landed on the Samsung Galaxy S10 series. The timing falls in line with an Android 11 roadmap for Samsung devices. It prophesized that Galaxy S10 and Galaxy Note 10 devices would get the One UI 3.0 update in January 2021.
Sammobile just got word from some of its Switzerland-based readers that update has arrived on their Samsung Galaxy S10 5G and Galaxy S10e. It shouldn't be long before the Galaxy S10 Plus joins the party. Under ordinary circumstances, Android 11 would have been the last major update for Galaxy S10 and Galaxy Note 10 devices. However, Samsung updated its policies last year and promised three updates for a host of devices.
Samsung is known to wait a bit before rolling out major software updates worldwide. Test markets such as Switzerland and Germany often to receive the software first. A global rollout usually commences once it is determined to be free from any device-breaking bugs. As always, carrier-locked smartphones may have to wait longer than others to get their hands on One UI 3.0.
