The One UI 3.0 software update based on Android 11 continues to roll out and the latest Samsung device to get it is the Galaxy A71 5G. However, not all these handsets are being targeted by the new software yet. For now, it looks like the rollout has begun with the model number SM-A716U, which is carried by the Galaxy A71 5G units in the US, on Sprint.
While the latest Google security patch was released a few days ago and is labeled "February 2021," the aforementioned firmware update only includes the January 2021 security patch from Google. Labeled A716USQU2CUA7, the new piece of code for the Galaxy A71 5G fixes a memory corruption exploit and a bunch of other issues, although none of them were critical. There are also a lot of noticeable changes delivered by Android 11 and One UI 3.0, such as a redesigned user interface, performance improvements thanks to enhanced dynamic memory allocations, an improved Samsung Keyboard, better autofocus for the camera, and so on.
Since Galaxy A71 5G in other areas and with other carriers should get the update in the coming days as well, those in a hurry can check for its availability by going to Settings > Software update and tapping Download and install. If you are one of those who already got the update, feel free to hit the comments section and let us know what you think about it.
