Although some are not considering renewed phone deals as worthy of their attention, being able to buy the refurbished Samsung Galaxy S10+ (128 GB, unlocked US version) for the price of an affordable mid-ranger is a deal that might raise some eyebrows. These handsets come with a 90-day warranty (replacement or refund).

With a launch price of US$999, the Samsung Galaxy S10+ arrived back in March 2019 as one of the brand's second handset of its generation in terms of price and features. The top model was the US$1,299 Samsung Galaxy S10 5G. Now, those looking for an affordable smartphone should take into account the renewed deals available for the Samsung Galaxy S10+ on Amazon, since the prices start at US$179.99 for "acceptable condition" unlocked units and even lower for a few carrier-locked handsets.

In addition to the price mentioned above, Amazon also has renewed Samsung Galaxy S10+ handsets in "good condition" for US$199.99. Last but not least, the "excellent condition" Samsung Galaxy S10+ (128 GB, Prism White) is available for US$214.00. These prices are for unlocked units, but AT&T, Verizon, and T-Mobile versions are also available for similar prices. For example, US-based Amazon customers can get the 1 TB Galaxy S10+ in Ceramic Black finish and "good condition" for US$319.99.

In all cases mentioned above, the main difference between the condition rating of the handsets is made by the presence of visible scratches on the display and body. Thankfully, the battery is always guaranteed to exceed 80% of the brand-new specified charge. For the Samsung Galaxy S10+, the battery is rated at 4,100 mAh. By comparison (without taking into account the differences in power draw of the processors and displays used, of course), the new Samsung Galaxy S22 has a 3,700 mAh battery capacity, although its sibling, the Galaxy S22+, gets an advantage with 4,500 mAh.

Samsung Galaxy S10+ arrived with Android 9.0 Pie and One UI 1.1 and received the final major update earlier this year in the shape of Android 12-based One UI 4.1. Thankfully, this device is fully supported by LineageOS and this should keep it up to date from the software perspective at least until 2025.
