A new leak may have put paid to those hopes, though, as while the Xperia 5 II paints the picture of an impressive premium phone, it doesn't quite seem to satisfy the conditions for "compact".

Months after releasing the Redmi K30 5G, Xiaomi has now launched another K30-series phone. The Redmi K30i 5G is a "lite" version of the K30 5G and offers similar specs bar one notable change while costing a bit less.

After months of rumors, the Sony Xperia 1 II has now gotten an official release date. The phone will go on sale in the US on July 24, five whole months after it was announced. It will carry an MSRP of US$1200, although early takers also get a free pair of Sony's WF-1000XM3 earbuds worth US$200.
