These are the best laptops to buy in Fall 2025 - 41 notebooks in a tough clash

It's time to hand out awards once again: Listed below are the best laptops Notebookcheck has had the pleasure of reviewing since our best laptops for Summer 2025 article went live. Over the past few months, we comprehensively checked, measured and tested 41 laptops. While each and every model reviewed is listed in the table at the end of this article, the very best ones are described in detail below. 90.4%: Lenovo Yoga Pro 9i 16IAH10

Lenovo's Yoga Pro 9i 16 (review waiting for you here) raises the bar for creator laptops, in no small part thanks to the new 3.2K tandem OLED display. With a peak brightness of 1,600 cd/m², it matches MacBook Pro 16's mini-LED tech while also scoring points for response times and color space coverage. The optional RTX 5070 SKU is 10-15% faster than the 5060; even more powerful GPUs are not offered. Nevertheless, the Yoga Pro 9i 16 remains an excellent multimedia laptop thanks to its outstanding OLED screen.
The Yoga Pro 9i 16IAH10 is currently available in two basic variants: The version with RTX 5060 graphics and Core Ultra 7 processor can be purchased for around €2,100, while the higher-end variant with RTX 5070 and Ultra 9 processor comes in at around €2,800.

90.3%: Honor MagicBook Art 14 2025

Honor's MagicBook Art 14 2025 (review) is a light and thin subnotebook with exciting features, including vapor-chamber cooling and extensive connectivity options. Our testing reveled impressive input devices - an improved keyboard, and touchpad with haptic feedback. The 3K OLED touchscreen with 120 Hz offers excellent picture quality and accurate color profiles ex-works, even if the advertised peak brightness of 1,600 nits was not quite confirmed by our tests.
The new Honor MagicBook Art 14 with Intel Core processors can be purchased directly from Honor in its online store. The price currently sits at 1,500 euros.

89.1%: Lenovo Legion 9i 18IAX10

Lenovo's Legion 9i 18 (Notebookcheck review) is a powerful gaming notebook that stands out from the competition. It offers RAM and SSD upgrade/expansion options while being quieter than some of its counterparts. Although it is Lenovo's first 18-inch model in the Legion series, it feels like a proper gaming laptop, mature and high-quality. There are no OLED or mini-LED display options, but the 240-hertz 4K display does its job perfectly.
The Legion 9i is widely available with the RTX 5090 but other SKUs are not as widespread. Price: around 6,300 euros. An RTX 5080 SKU can also be found occasionally, but does not appear to be available at the time of writing.

87.7%: HP EliteBook 8 Flip G1i 13

HP's EliteBook 8 Flip G1i 13 (review available here) makes a significant leap over its predecessor: It is thinner, faster and much more efficient thanks to the Arrow Lake U CPU. Its battery life and speakers are above average, while the keyboard, clickpad and connectivity have also received improvements. The Flip is a good choice as an ultra-mobile work device that can be used in a variety of ways.
You can order the HP EliteBook 8 Flip G1i 13 with a Core Ultra 5 processor for around 1,700 euros, while faster Ultra 7 CPU SKUs with 5G can be had for around 2,100 euros.

87.6%: Asus ZenBook 14 OLED UX3405CA

This year, the Intel-powered ZenBook (to the review) overtakes its AMD counterpart in terms of features (Thunderbolt, Wi-Fi 7) as well as performance. Unlike the AMD model, the Intel chip brings actual improvements, outperforming the alternative system. What both models have in common is the high-quality and relatively lightweight casing, good input devices, a great OLED screen with accurate colors, and good battery life. These are very good notebooks for users with high mobility requirements.
Price: Depending on the exact configuration, the Intel model can be purchased starting from around 1,200 euros.
