The low price is the biggest plus. Lenovo has polished the chassis of the V155 a bit and put cheap, but also game-ready hardware into the 15-inch case. The result is the IdeaPad L340 Gaming, which has a price of less than 800 Euros (~$872). Of course, there is no high-end gaming here. In our review, we will show exactly where compromises need to be made.

Image quality vs. battery life. The standard 1080p display in the ThinkPad T590 wasn't able to convince us in our review. Fortunately, Lenovo offers an optional 4K matte display that provides excellent image quality. However, you have to accept a loss in battery life in exchange.

Too expensive. The PhilBook Max is a 14.1 inch convertible for just over 400 euros. The equipment is fine, but the manufacturer XIDU unfortunately relies on a dark display and a slow Celeron processor.

A good multimedia notebook. Dell is one of the few manufacturers that also offers its 15-inch premium notebook without a dedicated graphics card. Is the version with the integrated GPU perhaps even the better choice if you don't want to use your laptop for gaming?

A tough cookie. The latest 14-inch Toughbook addresses many of the shortcomings of last year's model while retaining compatibility with all last generation accessories.

All-rounder with endurance. Acer's well-equipped 15.6-inch multimedia all-rounder handles all current computer games and represents them smoothly on the matte, Full HD, IPS display. A surprise is the excellent battery life.

Gold performance for cheap. If you're in the market for an inexpensive 2.5-inch SATA III SSD, then the new SK Hynix Gold S31 should do the trick. The 250 GB version starts at just under $50.

More affordable is better? The ThinkPad T495s with the Ryzen 7 Pro 3700U is a serious alternative to the Intel-based T490s. The price in particular makes the device very interesting, since there are not many compromises compared to the Intel model.

Improved multi-core performance too. The improved Zen+ cores of Raven Ridge APUs promise lower power consumption while also delivering slightly higher clock speeds than their predecessors. At first glance, the HP ProBook 455R G6 should also benefit from these innovations, which is reason enough for us to check how the business laptop compares against its predecessor. Read on to find out how this Ryzen 5 3500U 15.6-inch laptop performs in our tests.

Faster than any other Blade 15 GTX laptop. The GTX 1660 Ti is only marginally slower than the RTX 2060 in raw GPU horsepower while retailing for hundreds less and it manages to outperform the fastest Blade 15 Pascal configuration. Some hidden drawbacks like the slightly less accurate display and slower CPU performance detract only little from the overall experience.

Business High End. Dell's 14-inch business laptop boasts a long battery life, an excellent keyboard and a fast NVMe SSD. The matte IPS display, however, could have a greater maximum brightness. In addition, the fan emits a high-pitched whistling noise.

Optical drive optional. Lenovo advertises the V155 as a productivity platform for businesses. But a first glance at the notebook shows that buyers are looking at a device in one of the lower price ranges. Apart from this impression, our test reveals the real performance of the V155.

Eye candy. HP's Spectre x360 13 is a premium compact convertible that is powerful enough for day to day tasks and challenges, and it is equipped with a highly reflective 1080p display that could have been brighter.

For number games The ZenBook Flip 14 attracts attention, not least because of its numeric keypad, which ASUS integrates within its trackpad. The pretty-looking convertible has a 360° hinge and packs an AMD processor, with a stylish design that puts it on par with its competitors. Laptops with AMD processors are on the rise, but currently remain rare. Read on to find out how the ZenBook Flip 14 fares in our tests.

The AMD ThinkPad is slowed down in terms of equipment. The ThinkPad E495 offers more power than the Intel equivalent with its AMD Ryzen SoC, but the low-priced laptop is unnecessarily slowed down by the manufacturer in terms of equipment.

Two 4K screens on one laptop. Asus' latest ScreenPad Plus makes the Apple Touch Bar look like child's play. The unlocked Core i9 CPU, GeForce RTX graphics, 1 TB Samsung SSD, and soldered 32 GB of RAM are hefty specifications that come with an equally hefty chassis and price.

Surprisingly good. The Alcatel 3 (2019) immediately impressed us with its smooth performance. Read on to find out what hardware allows the 180-Euro (~US$199) device to perform so surprisingly well.

As bright as can be. HP is one of the few OEMs that sells business laptops with bright optional displays. The EliteBook x360 1030 G3 is one such device, which has an optional 700 cd/m² display. Read on to find out whether the display can live up to its billing and how it affects battery life. We shall be looking at the Sure View privacy filter that HP incorporates too.

Always in action? Motorola expands its One series with an industry first: A smartphone with an action camera. The Android One smartphone leaves a good impression as a whole package. However, it is not the perfect companion for everyone.

Discrete gamer. Thanks to the Core i5-9300H processor and the GeForce GTX-1650 graphics core, the IdeaPad is able to bring all the current computer games smoothly to the matte 17.3-inch display (FHD, IPS). They are accompanied by a NVMe SSD, 16 GB of working memory, and a good battery life. Unfortunately, the working memory is only able to run in single-channel mode.

The better display for mobile use. After the ThinkPad X1 Carbon 2019 with the matte WQHD display, we now take a look at the matte low-power 1080p panel with an advertised brightness of 400 nits.

The HP ScreenPad. Like Asus, HP is convinced that two screens is better than one. While the second screen on the Omen X 2S 15 is definitely crisper than what the Asus VivoBook S15 has to offer, be prepared for a lot of glare and potential brightness issues.

More pixels and less battery life. Like the ThinkPad X1 Extreme before it, the 14-inch ThinkPad T490 also gets a higher resolution WQHD panel with 100% AdobeRGB color-space coverage. The excellent image quality is countered by a reflective display surface and increased power consumption.

RGB not required! After the release of Nvidia's Super graphics cards, manufacturers have now released their own versions of the new GeForce cards. Here, we take a closer look at the model from KFA2. In this review we try to determine whether the KFA 2 GeForce RTX 2060 Super 1-Click OC is worth it or if the Nvidia reference design is the better choice.

Artistic synthesis. Developed by Remedy Entertainment, Control is a story-driven action-adventure that sends the main character through a constantly changing building. Read on to find out how this visual extravaganza plays on various desktop and laptop GPUs.

AMD is the better choice. Lenovo's ThinkPad T495 is finally a full-fledged AMD business notebook with almost no compromises compared to its T490 sibling with Intel CPU. It might even be the better choice for many office users thanks to its lower price.

It runs, and runs and runs. Asus has equipped the VivoBook 14 with a 72-Wh battery that ensures an excellent battery life. The rest of the equipment is also right: a Core-i5 processor, 16 GB of working memory (dual-channel mode), an SSD, and a matte IPS display. A Windows operating system is not included.

The S-Pen and stunning display once again distinguish the Galaxy Note from its Galaxy S sibling. This year’s Galaxy Note is the first to feature a newer SoC than the Galaxy S that preceded it, so it will be intriguing to see what improvements the Exynos 9825 brings over the Exynos 9820. In many ways, the Note 10+ is a re-bodied Galaxy S10+ with a few tweaks and omissions. Read on to find out how the Note 10+ performs in this live review.

Long-lasting. Acer's 14-inch model boasts a sleek, slim body, a Kaby Lake processor and good battery life. The rest of the equipment does not disappoint either: NVMe-SSD, matte IPS screen, key illumination. The RAM is a bit meager with 4 GB. The operating system is Windows 10 Home in S mode. The total package costs almost 400 Euros (~$444).

Small business professional with exceptional battery life. Intel's Whiskey Lake CPUs found their way into Dell's Latitude series. The redesigned Latitude 7300 features one as well, and it surprised us with its decent upgradeability (RAM) and long battery life. Unfortunately, not all that glitters is gold, and the laptop's CPU performance was the fly in the ointment.

Ice(Lake)borne. Dell's latest XPS convertible is unlike most Ultrabooks or convertibles we've tested this year simply because it checks off a long laundry list of uncommon features: Ice Lake-U, MagLev keyboard, vapor chamber, 13.4-inch touchscreen, and a 16:10 aspect ratio. The result is a travel-friendly convertible with one of the brightest and most well-calibrated displays we've seen for its category. Unfortunately, you'll have to give up some upgrades along the way that may impact longevity.

Slimmed-down or improved? The Xiaomi Mi A3 again aims to offer a lot of mid-range features for little money. However, actually we are not only seeing improvements compared to the predecessor. Find out in our test whether the 2019 model is still worth it.

Is the Galaxy Note 10 merely a smaller version of the Note 10+, or is there more at hand? Well, the smaller battery, display, RAM, and storage all suggest so, but the Note 10 is more than just a scaled-down Note 10+. The inclusion of an S Pen should still help the Note 10 appeal to business users, as will it being cheaper than the Note 10+ too. Those CPU temperatures — yikes! If you've ever wanted the 17.3-inch Alienware Area-51m desktop replacement but wished it was smaller, then the 15.6-inch Alienware m15 R2 should fit the bill. The new model is a complete design overhaul of last year's Alienware m15 R1 that unfortunately feels more like a lateral step sideways instead of a big leap forward.

Switch it, baby. The brand-new Acer Predator Helios 700 is definitely one of the most exciting gaming notebooks of 2019. The positioning of its keyboard and touchpad can be changed thanks to a sliding mechanism, which gives the 17-inch device access to a lot of fresh air to cool its high-end hardware. Find out whether this idea actually works in our review.

Whiskey Lame We reviewed the ThinkPad L480 (87%) about a year ago, and we actually only criticized the dim display. Lenovo has now changed the display with the successor and also updated the processor. Nonetheless, "new" does not always mean "better", as our current review for the L490 shows.

A 16 mm bullet. MSI has packed the Prestige 14 with a powerful 10th generation Intel Core processor and a mid-range NVIDIA GPU, despite the device being just 16 mm thick. Can such a slim and light laptop keep these components cool? Our initial tests suggest so. Read on to find out more in this hands-on review.

Matte touchscreen optional. Buyers of the Latitude 5500 have the choice among numerous equipment configurations that offer suitable elements for almost any demand in the business sector. In addition to various security features, there is optional LTE, as well as support for the coming Wi-Fi 6 standard. Our test shows what else buyers of the business notebook from Dell can expect.

Uncompromising performance! The Corsair One i160 is a compact gaming PC that packs extremely powerful hardware into an impressively small case. Corsair has included a proprietary and patented liquid cooling system to keep the Core i9-9900K and RTX 2080 Ti cool even during long gaming sessions, which it complements with 32 GB of DDR4-2666 RAM and plenty of storage. Read on to find out how well the Corsair One i160 performs in our tests and whether its liquid cooling system is up to scratch.

Better than an Asus Zephyrus. Gigabyte has just created one of the best 17.3-inch laptops in the market for both professionals and gamers alike. The system packs almost everything you'd want in an ultrathin package including both long battery life and high graphics performance - an uncommon combination.

Too dim. The crowdfunded-Indiegogo MageDok portable monitor feels solid to the touch with a strong chassis design. Almost everything about the actual display, however, is a letdown at this early development stage.

Expensive. The robust ProBook convertible offers a fast SSD, silent operation and good battery life. The touchscreen can be used with the fingers as well as with a stylus. With a price of about 900 Euros (~$989), the device isn't among the cheap models.

Fantastic Plastic Machine. Despite some drawbacks in build quality and thermal management, the MSI GP65 Leopard is an excellent all-around gaming laptop for $1500. Surprisingly, the machine has one of the most color-accurate screens we have measured in a gaming laptop. The bright display backlight and 144 Hz refresh rate are icing on the cake.

The hero we deserve? Can't decide between the Asus ROG G731GV with GeForce RTX 2060 or G731GW with GeForce RTX 2070? The G731GW offers 19 percent faster gaming performance without impacting temperatures for $400 more than the G731GV.

With an optional anti-reflective touch screen. At just 13 inches, the Dell Latitude 5300 is a small and lightweight companion for everyday business. Users do not have to go without safety features and the maintenance options are reasonable. What else is in the small business laptop, we clarify in our review.

Privacy screen. HP's 13.3-inch subnotebook scores a lot of points for its slim and elegant exterior. Its inside values are impressive as well: a quad-core processor, a dedicated GeForce GPU and 8 GB of RAM (in dual-channel mode). Most importantly, the device's very bright IPS screen also supports HP's Sure View screen-protection technology.

Take Two. The Inspiron 7390 2-in-1 might look very similar to its predecessor, but under the hood, a lot has changed. At $1250, the convertible packs a UHD display, Core i7-8565U, 16 GB RAM, and a 512 GB NVMe SSD. Is it the next convertible to beat?

Unlocked Core i9 with OLED. The Nightsky RX15 is one of the few narrow-bezel 15.6-inch laptops offering unlocked Core i9-9980HK CPU options. Meanwhile, its OLED option makes the system competitive against the Razer Blade 15, Alienware m15, and Gigabyte Aero 15 which all have similar OLED features.

A cost factor. Despite its high price, the current high-end configuration of the HP Omen 17 is still significantly cheaper than other RTX 2080 laptops. Find out whether the HP Omen 17 can keep up with its competition in aspects other than performance in our detailed review.

Silent surf machine. Just 250 Euros (~$278) is the price set by Medion for the 14-inch Akoya E4253. The laptop comes with a matte IPS Full HD display, Pentium Silver N5000 processor, silent operation and a good battery life.

A compact all-rounder with fatal flaws. The VivoBook 14 scores well for its quad-core i5 processor, dedicated GPU, 8 GB of dual-channel RAM, SSD and matte IPS screen. However, there are some significant shortcomings, which our tests and review will reveal.

Turing refresh with CPU weakness. Lenovo has introduced the second generation of its slim, high-end ThinkPad P1 workstation into the market. Included on board are the newest Nvidia Quadro GPUs based on Turing, significantly brighter display options, and the newest Intel processors. However, the Lenovo ThinkPad P1 Gen 2 shows some weaknesses in the CPU performance, of all things.

A practical gaming laptop! Acer has proven several times with its Nitro 5 series that gaming laptops do not always have to be extremely expensive. The company is back again with a new 17.3-inch model that it equips with an Intel Core i7-9750H and an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 Ti, which should combine to create a solid foundation for this gaming laptop. In-screen cam and a lot of storage. Honor is pushing down the price for smartphones with high-end equipment. 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage as well as a quad camera sound great on paper and the other features look promising as well. Find out what the $500 phone really has to offer in our review.

A modern design on a budget. If you are looking for a smartphone for less than 100 Euros (~US$111) with good performance, a modern design, LTE and a fingerprint sensor, then the Blackview A60 Pro may be the device for you. Read on to find out if Blackview has done well and in what areas the A60 Pro struggles.

There is no shortage of weaknesses. With the Ideapad L340-17API, Lenovo delivers a 17.3-inch laptop that can score points with a strong Ryzen 5 3500U APU, a solid state drive, good battery life and a quite good keyboard. Unfortunately, it does not lack weaknesses: In this case, a TN panel with unstable viewing angles is in use, and the RAM is only able to run in single-channel mode. In addition, there is no memory card reader.

New age of narrow bezel Clevo laptops. Clevo is getting better at creating more visually attractive gaming laptops without sacrificing the core performance advantages that the series is known for. We only wish that it could be easier to service.

Elegant, slim gamer. The powerful hardware of the Schenker Key 16 is able to bring all the current computer games smoothly to the matte 16.1-inch screen (FHD, IPS, 144 Hz). Schenker offers individual configuration options, such as up to three storage drives (2x M.2-2280, 1x 2.5-in) and up to 64 GB of working memory. In addition, the BIOS allows for undervolting of CPU and iGPU.

At home outdoors. The Ulefone Armor 6E is strongly related to the Armor 6 and even the packaging's differences come down to just one sticker. The Armor 6E is cheaper and while it offers less storage space, it also comes with a more modern SoC and better protection against the elements. In this review, we are taking a look at the outdoor smartphone in order to determine if this makes it a bargain.

60 FPS gaming at an affordable price. Unsurprisingly, Samsung has made some compromises for the cheapest model in its Galaxy A series. However, the Galaxy A10 is no slouch and performs well for a sub-US$200 smartphone. Read on to find out in what areas Samsung has done well and where the Galaxy A10 falls short of its pricier Galaxy A-series siblings.

New CPU, new luck. The ultra-flat Predator Triton 500 gaming notebook from Acer is now available with Intel's latest 9000 series processors. Learn how well the updated version performs in our test update.

Portable, but not that portable. The 15.6-inch CF015C 4K UHD portable monitor is sleek and lightweight for easy carrying. Unfortunately, it relies on a clunky external hub and several cables to actually work.

A cheap gamer. The Legion Y540 may be touted as an RTX gaming laptop, but Lenovo also sells GTX variants that may be more suitable for the budget gamer. Switching to a GeForce GTX 1660 Ti drops the price by around 20% to 1,400 Euros (~US$1,565), which is a healthy saving. Read on to find out if Lenovo has made any other changes to keep the price down and how this GTX 1660 Ti-powered gaming laptop fares against its competitors.

16-inch display. Ever wanted a gaming laptop but felt that a 17.3-inch display might be too big and a 15.6-inch display might be too small? Then this high-power 16.1-inch Origin PC EVO16-S should fit the bill.

Surprisingly affordable. The Xiaomi Redmi 7A is available for $100. Its predecessor already had quite a lot to offer considering its low price. The Redmi 7A, at first glance, does not seem to offer a lot of changes. Can it keep up its great price-to-performance ratio?

15.6-inch 1080p for cheap. The lightweight and narrow bezel 15.6-inch portable monitor has an attractive design with a high quality feel when held. The actual display, however, is reflective of the inexpensive price point.

The attack of the 12-core! The Ryzen 3000 series has already impressed us, and now it is the turn of the 3900X to show us what it is capable of. We pit the Ryzen 9 against the Intel Core i9-9900K to see which can claim the gaming desktop CPU crown. Read on to find out which has the edge and which delivers the better overall package.

A handy companion. Chuwi's 14-inch laptop scores well for its sleek metal design, its silent operation, good battery life, its IPS display with stable viewing angles and a wide colour gamut. Added to that are keyboard backlighting and the option to expand the device with an M.2 SSD, both of which are welcome.

Pushing limits. The XPS 15 is back with new Core i9 options, new GTX Turing graphics options, and new 4K UHD OLED options. We test the highest-end configuration of the XPS 15 7590 to see what the latest series can offer when it's supposedly at its best.

Mobile Zen+ Ryzen 7 at its peak. The entry-level Inspiron 15 5585 sports the latest AMD Ryzen CPU with great results across the board. Graphics performance in particular is a leap ahead of the Intel UHD Graphics series that should satisfy casual gamers of Fortnite, Rocket League, and other undemanding titles.

AluPad with touch weakness. In a whole new look, Lenovo presents the flagship of its Convertible ThinkPads, the ThinkPad X1 Yoga 2019. The new, more compact aluminum case is convincing in the test, as well as many other features of the new X1 Yoga Gen 4. However, it has a flaw we did not expect. What this is, you will read in this detailed review!

Eight cores and still economical! AMD has continuously improved and optimised its Zen architecture since its inaugural release in 2017, with the company having just released its third generation in as many years. AMD manufactures its Zen 2 processors on the modern 7 nm process, which offers higher IPC than Zen+, among other improvements. Read on to find what the Ryzen 7 3700X, our first Zen 2 processor, can do and whether the jump to 7 nm offers as many benefits as promised.

Blast from the past. After two years of research and development Samsung has finally released a successor to its Galaxy XCover outdoor smartphone. The XCover 4s not only comes with a robust case protected against dust and water ingress, but it also offers one special feature that almost no other outdoor cell phone can.

Razor-sharp looks. The Blade Pro 17 has the fastest GeForce RTX 2060 we've tested thus far to be just 25 percent slower than the RTX 2080 Max-Q. Perhaps not coincidentally, it also costs about 25 percent less than the Blade Pro 17 RTX 2080 Max-Q SKU.

Two times brighter than the Topjoy Falcon. The Chuwi MiniBook is surprisingly a well-balanced and versatile netbook with its respectable system performance, bright 1080p touchscreen, and selection of ports. The unorthodox keyboard layout and twitchy mouse button will take some getting used to.

Consistent. The HP Gaming Pavilion 15 handles all modern games with ease on its matte 15.6-inch 1080p display thanks to its powerful hardware. The device can even make use of its 144 Hz refresh rate while remaining comparatively quiet too. 16 GB of dual-channel DDR4 RAM keeps the system ticking over, as does the 256 GB NVMe SSD.

Rugged on the outside, Fire on the inside. Take Amazon's latest Fire 7 tablet, stick it in a rugged and colorful case, and voilà: a Fire 7 Kids Edition. Parents are not only going to benefit from Amazon's 2-year worry-free warranty but also from software specifically aimed at children of various ages. Let us find out what this means in detail.

3 TB with SSD/HDD combo. Lenovo has given the Legion Y540 a small hardware upgrade and now included a GeForce RTX graphics card within the slim case. The space left for storage devices is very large. In our review we'll show the level of performance that the Lenovo Legion Y540-15IRH with the Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060 provides.

No Xiaomi Mi 9 killer. The Xiaomi Mi 9T Pro, like its sister model Mi 9T, has a motorised pop-up front-facing camera to aid in the pursuit of the highest possible screen-to-body ratio. The device comes with a Snapdragon 855, 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of UFS 2.1 flash storage too, but Xiaomi has made cuts in some areas that hold it back from challenging the Mi 9. Read on to find out how the Mi 9T Pro, or should we say Redmi K20 Pro, performs in our tests and how it shapes up against the Mi 9.

Striking gold. Asus' Republic of Gamers lineup just got a lot bigger. The Strix G GL531 adds a splash of customizable LED colors to the series without impacting the overall performance we've come to expect from a gaming laptop. Fan noise when gaming could still use some improvement.

Camera quadruplets. Honor packs a whopping four photographic objectives on the rear of the Honor 20 Pro, which is a slight upgrade over the Honor 20's setup. Read in our test, whether it and the rather beefy battery justify the 100-Euro (~$111) premium for the Pro model.

Meaningful or superfluous? The RTX 2080 SUPER is the last RTX 20 SUPER Desktop GPU to enter our offices, and it is also the most powerful. Since AMD does not currently compete with NVIDIA in this performance class, it begs the question of why the team in green has even bothered to bring a facelifted RTX 2080 to the market. Read on to find out what benefits a full-bore TU104 brings, if any, and how the RTX 2080 SUPER fares against other high-end GPUs.

RTX graphics in a slim case. While Gigabyte has discreetly changed the design of its Aero notebooks, it remains true to its previous line. With the Aero 15 OLED XA, buyers are greeted by a slim and powerful notebook with many connections. We find out in our test what performance exactly you can expect.

Massive megapixels. The Sony IMX586 is currently the most widely used camera sensor in the midrange to affordable flagship price segments. Our experiences with its image quality have varied from device to device though, so we have decided to put all the IMX586 equipped smartphones that we have already tested through their paces to see who comes out on top. Read on to find out how our five sample devices get on in this comparison review.

Guardian angel. Push-to-talk and Lone Worker Protection (LWS) are just a few of the functional benefits that RugGear has included on the RG655. The device looks relatively contemporary by outdoor smartphone standards, which makes a change. It is not all roses though, as we will discuss in the review below.

HD+ und DTS:X 3D on board. LG brings a triple camera in the middle class and with the Q60 in particular, puts multimedia applications in the foreground. The 19:9 screen and a good sound should be the main highlights, but the Google Assistant with integrated LG voice commands gets even greater importance. In our test we check how the interaction works.

XXL battery life with some compromises. According to Wiko, the View 3 is the first smartphone with a triple camera in the price range below 200 Euros (~$223). Find out in our review of the Wiko smartphone whether the endurance champion of the View 3 series deserves a recommendation.

Bright lights, small flaws. Asus' new ROG Hero III G731GW packs tons of features, lots of lights, and a powerful RTX GPU into a well-built and well-designed chassis. A few annoyances make the G731GW fall short of perfection, but the overall package is excellent.

Conspicuously subtle. Lenovo's mid-range gaming laptop is able to run all current PC games smoothly on its matte 17.3-inch screen (144 Hz, FHD, IPS), thanks to its Core i5-9300H processor and its GeForce GTX 1660 Ti graphics card. A maintenance hatch allows users to easily swap the RAM and storage. The iGPU, which is disabled by default, can be enabled via the BIOS to improve battery life.

First! Samsung announced the Galaxy S10 5G at MWC 19, but it has taken a while to arrive in Europe. It is bigger, has more cameras and has a larger battery than its S10 siblings, but there are some trade-offs too. Samsung has not managed to eradicate the issues we had with the rest of the S10 series, either. Read on to find out more in this detailed review.
