Long runtimes thanks to Lunar Lake. Acer's Swift 14 AI is a compact and lightweight multimedia laptop which has access to Intel's brand-new and pretty efficient Lunar Lake architecture. The Arc Graphics 130V iGPU which we have yet to test had to compete with the 140V as well as its predecessors in the benchmarks.

Even better with AMD. The Ninkear A16 Pro is a surprisingly good laptop from China fitted with the AMD Ryzen 7 8845HS, 32 GB of RAM and a 1-TB SSD for around $840. With its good features, it outperforms its sister model, the N16 Pro, and even comes close to the Xiaomi RedmiBook Pro 16. We found out exactly how close during our test.

New edition. A bigger battery, more RAM, a new camera button, more vivid colors, and even more power: By Apple's standards, the iPhone 16 packs an above-average number of new features, making it one of the best compact smartphones on the market. Our review reveals whether it's worth purchasing or upgrading.

The perfect smartphone for fans of the series. Xiaomi sees its 14T Pro as a high-end smartphone for less than 800 Euros (~$867). In our test, the Xiaomi smartphone, which is equipped with Leica cameras, shows an extremely high brightness with its 144-Hz AMOLED display panel. The rest of the equipment of the flagship killer hardly leaves any wishes unfulfilled either.

Nvidia RTX 4000 Ada debuts with impressive numbers. The 130 W TGP graphics option makes this one of the fastest 16-inch workstations in Lenovo's portfolio. However, aspects like temperature and fan noise are warmer and noisier than average, respectively, as a result of the demanding GPU.

An all-rounder with an OLED display. While OLED panels are now widespread, the Ryzen 5 7540U is quite a rare specimen. In our review, the iGPU Radeon 740M comes face-to-face with the faster AMD models and competition from Intel.

Small chassis with a side of performance! Be it the super sleek OLED-equipped Asus ROG Zephyrus G14, the mighty Razer Blade 14 featuring one of the fastest RTX 4070s ever, the barebone underdogs from XMG, or Acer's newest Nitro 14 and Helios Neo 14, 2024 gave us many laptops that tried to cram as much power as possible into a 14"-15" form factor. Today, we will tell you who succeeded and who did not.

Versatile, on-the-go backup. The UnifyDrive UT2 debuted as a portable storage solution that aims to make data backups easy. Besides support for up to 16 TB of NVMe storage, the portable NAS is compact, offers many backup options, and has a built-in battery for uninterrupted data access.

Expandable storage, iOS style. The Dockcase Smart MagSafe SSD enclosure is a compact SSD shell that can magnetically attach to the back of MagSafe-compatible devices, including iPhones. It is a versatile and pocketable drive case that offers a unique method of increasing the storage of an iPhone.

A curse and a blessing at the same time! Intel is ushering in a new era with the Arrow Lake processors for the desktop sector. A new naming scheme, a new architecture, and lower power consumption are some of the major changes. In this review, you can find out what other changes there are in detail and how well the Intel Core Ultra 5 245K performs in everyday use and in gaming.

Power-efficient but gaming deficient. Intel's new Arrow Lake-S Core Ultra 9 285 introduces a new compute tile layout that sacrifices hyperthreading and aims to win over enthusiasts with significant efficiency improvements. Performance above all. The Lenovo ThinkBook 16p Gen 5 IRX is the most powerful model of the SMB laptop series ThinkBook. Inner values. It may not be chic, but it is certainly robust with immaculate connectivity options. The business laptop allows users to work at lightning speed while offering ambitious graphics performance. Adding to this are all the usual security functions. Its main compromises are likely ones that pragmatists can stomach.

Good performance. The second edition of the no-frills ThinkPad E16 now offers decent graphics performance. Apart from that, everything looks like a ThinkPad from the premium and, as you would expect, more expensive series - with a few crucial cuts.

Let it burn! Even though the Nubia Z60 Ultra is still relatively new, an improved version is already being reissued. Due to Nubia's primary focus on improving the device with a speedier SoC and a new camera sensor, the two models are very identical in terms of design. Needs more time on the whetstone. Extremely lightweight foldable phone. The Mix Fold 4 has an OLED panel almost 8 inches in size, but it is barely any heavier and thicker than a normal high-end phone. The Xiaomi phone, equipped with Leica cameras, doesn't have to hide from a Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6. But did the Mix Fold fully impress us in our test?

Not for the faint-hearted. Almost a year after the PS5 release, Square Enix has launched the highly acclaimed Final Fantasy XVI for PC. We examined the graphics card requirements for various resolutions and configurations.

Peak mobile Zen 5. For just over a grand, the OmniBook Ultra 14 offers massive performance gains when compared to other subnotebooks in its price range. Some cut corners have been made to the display, but they're nothing that most users can't live with.

"Multimediocre" display. Priced at €899, the 2024 Aspire 16 A16-51GM-77G2 pairs the low-power, current-gen Core 7 150U with the ageing RTX 2050. The laptop is meant to be a budget all-round multimedia laptop. In this review, we’ll discuss whether Acer manages to accomplish this goal.

Mean machine. "Forged carbon", "reinforced with 90 % recycled magnesium", plus an update to Intel's Gen14 CPUs including AI functions. Our test will reveal whether the new processor really makes the Legion 9 better or whether you can save a bit by buying last year's model. A stretchable Xbox controller at a mid-range price? Abxylute has launched the S9 mobile controller for smartphones and tablets on Kickstarter. As our hands-on test revealed, the controller is immediately satisfying for its nice Xbox controller-like feel. Additional touches include a 3.5mm headphone jack with DAC, Hall effect triggers and sticks, and customizable D-pads, analog stick caps, and grip covers.

Where did the crease go? The Mix Flip brings a lot of what is currently possible with a compact foldable smartphone. Particularly the huge secondary display of the Xiaomi smartphone makes the Galaxy Flip 6 look a bit aged in comparison. But the rest of the equipment is also impressive for the first flip smartphone generation from Xiaomi.

The NucBox K6 is faster. The Core Ultra 5 125H may make for a smarter PC, but that doesn't necessarily mean a faster one. Raw performance sits behind the older and cheaper Ryzen 7 7840HS by decent margins.

The Return of Kratos. Almost three years after its predecessor, God of War Ragnarök is set to be released for PC. While many gamers are frustrated by the PSN requirement, the technology and system requirements are quite impressive. We have created numerous benchmarks for this review.

Ultrabook without compromises? The Schenker XMG Evo 14 is a compact 14-inch laptop with a whole load of connections and good maintenance options. Its high-resolution 120 Hz IPS panel is matte and customers can choose between CPUs from AMD and Intel.

An alternative to Apple Vision Pro with potential and room for improvement The Pico 4 Ultra is a new VR headset with a wide variety of use cases, great image quality and decent MR functions. Although the system can certainly be used as a cheaper alternative to the Apple Vision Pro, it does come with some limitations - these could, however, be solved with the help of software updates.

Extremely short battery life. The Galaxy Book4 Edge 14 boasts an ultra-slim design with a 14-inch 120 Hz OLED touchscreen and is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon X Elite processor. It delivers solid performance for everyday tasks and operates quietly, but the Copilot+ PC disappoints when it comes to battery life.

Powerful and modular! The Lenovo ThinkStation P3 Tiny with Intel Core i9-14900 and Nvidia T1000 impresses with extreme performance in the smallest of spaces. Grand Turismo. The Watch GT series enters the next round and presents a more discreet design. However, the Watch GT 5 also adopts new sensors, a brighter display, and is more resistant. It is also compatible with all common platforms. What could possibly go wrong?

Dell's first 10-inch fully-rugged tablet. The Latitude 7030 Rugged Extreme is a modernized Windows tablet with multiple USB-C Thunderbolt 4 ports, Intel 12th gen CPUs, great colors, and tons of connectivity options all in a 10-inch form factor.

The Flip goes on. Once again, the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip6 sees some small improvements this year: A new SoC, optimized cameras, IP certification, a brighter display and more. Like Schenker but for North America. The ML-16 MK2 emphasises GPU power, price, and thinness to be an attractive option for gamers or creators constantly on the move. The drawbacks, however, are difficult to ignore in the most literal sense as the fans can be quite loud.

Record foldable. Honor hasn't only equipped its Magic V Flip with particularly bright displays. At 4 inches in size, its outer display is also currently one of the largest of its kind—plus, it runs at 120 Hz. The phone's performance is just as impressive and its battery life is also above-average. So, a clear purchase recommendation? Yes and no, because as our test showed, the 6.8-inch phone isn't suitable for everyone, despite its many top marks.

Ryzen AI 9 365 and Radeon 880M. Lenovo has equipped its Yoga Pro 7 14 G9 with a new AMD Zen 5 processor in combination with a high-resolution 120-Hz OLED screen. Its performance is great and the same can be said for its picture quality, whereas the laptop's fans can get pretty loud.

Envying mediocrity? HP has updated its Envy 17 and equipped it with an up-to-date Intel Core Ultra 7 and an RTX 3050. But this hardware upgrade comes with a downgrade. One we find hard to accept. The display of this top-range device has been stripped of an important feature.

Though useful, can flip phones really provide high-quality images? We investigated this by testing the cameras on a vacation to the baroque city of Heidelberg, using both the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip6 and Motorola Razr 50 Ultra.

With the Air 2s, RayNeo promised a better viewing experience than the Air 2, mainly due to the improvements made with the Light Engine. Paired with the Pocket TV, the new XR glasses do have the potential to be a great travel companion.

More codecs are hardly possible in this price range. The focus of Xiaomi's Buds 5 lies in wearing comfort and extensive features. The wireless semi-in-ears feature Hi-Res Audio, active noise cancellation (ANC) and AI. The Xiaomi Buds are an affordable alternative for all those who don't want to spend 200 dollars or more on a pair of headphones.

Jurassic Watch. The T-Rex series from Amazfit is aimed at those looking for a robust fitness smartwatch - including the T-Rex 3. In the test, it seeks to impress with a super-bright display, long battery life, and precise sports tracking. Read on to find out whether it succeeds.

L14 goes 16:10. With the 2024 update, Lenovo modernizes its L series in key aspects. This is especially true for the AMD variant: Finally, Lenovo abandons the Ryzen 5000 platform. By doing so, buyers of the new ThinkPad L14 Gen 5 AMD get to enjoy modern features like USB4 and DDR5.

Does cutting corners still work? While you still had to accept a tiny external display with the predecessor, the Motorola Razr 50 shows that this doesn't have to be the case even at a price of less than 1,000 Euros (~$1,109). Otherwise, most things remain unchanged from the previous generation, so is this enough for a successful update?

Where buyers get more phone than expected. The Phone 2a Plus uses the basis of Nothing's most popular smartphone and, according to the manufacturer, has been improved in three key areas. For creators on the go. Asus' new ProArt PZ13 is a relatively robust convertible for creative users who also want to be able to do their work in adverse conditions. The new 8-core Snapdragon X Plus from Qualcomm powers the device, which ensures long runtimes, among other things. However, the same as on the other ProArt models, its OLED touchscreen is limited to 60 Hz.

Vapor chamber cooling on a Windows tablet. The Microsoft Surface Pro 9 gets its strongest competitor yet with the latest Latitude 7350 2-in-1. The Dell system has a lot going for it including the uncommon Core Ultra U7 CPU, but it's not quite the homerun we were expecting.

Co-op cracker. Who would have thought beforehand that Space Marine 2 would receive such positive feedback from both players and the press. We took a closer look at the mixture of a third-person shooter and a hack-and-slay, and carried out extensive benchmarks.

Part gamer, part creator, part office. The ideaPad Pro 5 16 G9 does it all when configured with its discrete GPU option. The downside, however, is a louder and much warmer system than many other ultra-thin multimedia alternatives.

Writing as on a sheet of paper. With its PaperMatte display, the MatePad 11.5S offers a special coating which, in combination with pen support, should ensure a first-class writing experience. However, the matte screen of the Huawei tablet also reveals certain weaknesses.

The Vivobook S 15 OLED was one of the first notebooks with the new Snapdragon X Elite, and now Asus is also launching a cheaper version with the new Snapdragon X Plus 8-core. However, the remaining specifications, including the 120 Hz OLED, are identical. However, the price difference to the faster X Elite model is too small.

Newcomer. The ZenBook S 16 OLED is one of the first devices on the market to be equipped with AMD's brand new AI 9 processors. 135 g taking off from your hand. DJI released its lightest and most affordable camera drone ever on 5 September 2024. Even slimmer. Honor has updated its super-slim foldable smartphone—which is now even thinner and waterproof. Inside sits lots of modern hardware including a large battery. Its camera even houses a periscope zoom lens, but there are unfortunately also a few gaps in the Magic V3's offerings.

Better than the MacBook Air? With the new MagicBook Art 14, Honor offers a great subnotebook with a high-resolution OLED touchscreen and a Meteor Lake processor. The attachable webcam is also a real innovation that works excellently. Cooling is provided by a vapor chamber.

Still fast enough? Just over two months after the launch of the Snapdragon X Elite processors and the 10-core Snapdragon X Plus, Qualcomm has now released further ARM processors for laptops, including the Snapdragon X Plus 8-core variants with slower GPUs. We have tested the cheaper X1P-42-100.

Coherent. A Ryzen 5 8645HS, a GeForce RTX 4060 and 16 GB of RAM offer mid-range gaming power and ensure great battery life. The laptop’s hardware is rounded off by a 16:10 14.5-inch panel (2.5K, 120Hz and G-Sync support) and a USB4 port. The entire package is available for €1,449 (around US$1,600).
