A report out of South Korea has stated that over 1.17 million devices from the Samsung Galaxy Note 20 series have now been pre-ordered, with a few days of the pre-order period still remaining. Although the Mystic Bronze Galaxy Note 20 has already sold out, the total is still just short of the Galaxy Note 10’s record pre-order figures.

Geekbench 5 now lists a set of results for a "HMD Global Nokia 8 V 5G UW". The last part of this elongated name suggests that it can use Verizon's ultra-wideband (or UW) form of the latest mobile-data standard, and may thus be locked to or at least sold through the carrier at launch. Therefore, this device, should it be real, may be a rebranded 8.3.

The MediaTek Dimensity 1000+ in the new Redmi K30 Ultra has been put through a battery of tests alongside the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 and the HiSilicon Kirin 990 5G chips. The Dimensity 1000+ proved to be an affordable processing champion by surpassing the Kirin 990 nearly every time and nipping at the heels of the SD 865 in most cases.

A report suggests that the Redmi K30 Ultra and Xiaomi Mi 10 Ultra will be exclusive to China. A Xiaomi representative has confirmed that the company doesn't plan on selling either handset internationally, even as a Poco device.

Xiaomi's hotly-anticipated 10th-anniversary edition of the Mi 10 - or Mi 10 Ultra, according to the latest rumors - is expected to drop today (August 11, 2020). A down-to-the-wire leak purports to unbox this phone on camera beforehand, however. The video appears to confirm many primary specs of the impending super-flagship.

New case leaks may reveal how a pair of Huawei phones called the Enjoy 20 and 20 Plus may look ahead of their launch. Following its August 5 Galaxy Unpacked event, Samsung has now posted several new videos of its launch devices. The Galaxy Note 20 and 20 Ultra 5G have been unveiled today (August 5, 2020) at the latest Galaxy Unpacked event. This series has turned out to conform to all its more recent leaks and rumors well. In fact, all Samsung really had to do was announce their pricing and availability.

After months of speculations and leaks, we finally have our first look at the Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 and Galaxy Tab S7+. Both tablets offer a host of exciting features and are powered by Qualcomm's newest silicon. The former will retail at US$650, while the latter will set you back by US$850. Qualcomm has published the results of a study conducted by Ookla on 5G speeds in the US and UK for the first and second quarters of 2020 (1-2Q2020). It apparently concludes that the fastest phones in this regard had chipsets and modems made by this prominent chipmaker. Apple announced a pandemic busting Q3 2020 result today, but also getting headlines is that its iPhone 12 launch is officially delayed. During the earnings call, Apple CFO Luca Maestri also confirmed rumors that Apple’s new iPhones will ship later than usual this year because of global disruptions.

Images and specs for the Redmi K30 Ultra have been shared online, with the upcoming device featuring a MediaTek Dimensity 1000+ chip and up to 12 GB RAM. Nubia announced the new RedMagic 5S gaming smartphone at the ChinaJoy event earlier this week. Xiaomi is introducing another color for its highly popular Mi 10 smartphone. The new finish can be translated as “elegant grey”, although it could also be classed as titanium. The elegant grey Xiaomi Mi 10 will be made available to buyers in China from July 31 and will be priced from 3,799 yuan (US$542).

A new entry to the Google Play Console database reportedly points to a new phone called Velvet. However, this device has a MediaTek Dimensity 800 chipset, whereas the current LG device with the same moniker is powered by the Snapdragon 765G. It also apparently has 6GB of RAM and an FHD+ screen.
