The US carrier T-Mobile now lists the new OnePlus 8T as its latest 5G phone. It costs the same as unlocked units in this country; however, a buyer may avail of an offer by which one is half this price when bought with a new line on the network. This requires a 2-year bill-pay contract, however.
OnePlus has gotten its smartphones on the shelves of US carriers for a few generations of these devices now. Verizon was the latest company to be added as such as a partner, although T-Mobile was the first to stock this OEM's wares. Now, it has done so again with the recently-launched 8T.
T-Mobile-specific units of this phone have been rebranded as the 8T+ 5G for some reason; however, it comes in a single 12GB RAM/256GB storage SKU in this country, with silver or green colorways. The carrier has listed it for US$749.99 (the same price as unlocked versions sold directly through the OEM, which is throwing a "free gift" in with every 8T pre-ordered until tomorrow (October 21, 2020)).
Alternatively, it can be paid for in instalments of $31.25 over 24 months. T-Mobile has also announced a deal by which this 8T+ 5G is 50% off, so long as the buyer adds a new eligible line. This discount is spread across a 24-month period as money off each bill. This offer also applies to OnePlus 8 5Gs and 7Ts also bought via this network.

I became a professional writer and editor shortly after graduation. My degrees are in biomedical sciences; however, they led to some experience in the biotech area, which convinced me of its potential to revolutionize our health, environment and lives in general. This developed into an all-consuming interest in more aspects of tech over time: I can never write enough on the latest electronics, gadgets and innovations. My other interests include imaging, astronomy, and streaming all the things. Oh, and coffee.
