The Xiaomi Mi Max 3 and Mi Mix 3 5G receive new MIUI 12 updates
The Mi Mix 3 5G may well be one of Xiaomi's most ignored smartphones, but it has received a new MIUI 12 update. This time, it is the Vodafone model that has been upgraded to MIUI 12, which was available to purchase in Europe. Xiaomi has called the build V12.0.1.0.PEMEUVF, which should be the same update that the unlocked European and global models started receiving last month.
V12.0.1.0.PEMEUVF is still an Android 9.0 Pie build of MIUI 12 though, as the 'P' designates. It is unclear when Xiaomi will upgrade the Mi Mix 3 5G to Android 10, but we doubt that Android 11 is coming anytime soon.
It is a different story for the Mi Max 3, which Xiaomi upgraded to Android 10 as of MIUI 11. Xiaomi brought MIUI 12 to Chinese handsets in August, but the global and Russian models have only just become eligible to download the OS upgrade. Both have been upgraded to V12.0.1.0 and will be brought onto MIUI 12 via an over-the-air (OTA) download. Alternatively, you can grab the update files via the links below.
