Xiaomi has begun rolling out MIUI 12 to the Redmi Note 8 Pro in two more regions. This time, the OS upgrade has reached the European and Indonesian branches of MIUI, with equivalent builds having already been issued on the Chinese, global and Indian branches of Xiaomi's OS. Xiaomi has called the new updates V12.0.2.0.QGGEUXM and V12.0.2.0.QGGIDXM, which also include the September 2020 set of security patches.
Additionally, MIUI 12 has arrived on the Mi CC9e, as has Android 10. Xiaomi released the Mi CC9e last year on Android 9.0 Pie and MIUI 10, powered by a Snapdragon 665 chipset. The inaugural update for the device is called V12.0.3.0.QFMCNXM and can be downloaded via the link below. Similarly, Xiaomi Firmware Updater has provided the recovery and OTA files for the two new Redmi Note 8 Pro builds.
However, Xiaomi has decided against upgrading the Redmi 8 or Redmi Note 8 to MIUI 12 for the time being. Instead, the company has rolled out the October 2020 set of security patches to both devices, while keeping them on MIUI 11. Worse still, the Redmi 8 remains on Android 9.0 Pie. The October 2020 security updates are rolling out now to the Indonesian version of the Redmi Note 8, along with the Chinese and European versions of the Redmi 8.
