Infinix has become linked to a new Android smartphone, one with a potentially second-gen gamer esthetic and a different MediaTek Dimensity processor. The alleged new GT-series device might also launch with a new version of XOS based on Android and have a decent mid-range amount of RAM.

AnTuTu has now revealed its flagship performance chart for February, with the MediaTek Dimensity 9300-powered OPPO Find X7 once again sitting on top of the pile. Xiaomi's new Xiaomi 14 Ultra fails to make the top ten, though, and both the Samsung Galaxy S24+ and S24 Ultra feature as the worst-performing Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 devices.

Realme's launch event for the 12 Plus (or 12+) as a new mid-range Android smartphone of today (February 29, 2024) might have suggested that the addition of a vanilla 12 might be redundant at this point. However, it seems that might not be the case, as that device's model number has appeared on Geekbench, with a different SoC to its new Plus counterpart.

The Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 inside the Xiaomi 14 Pro has now been tested to measure the raw performance and efficiency of the big Cortex-X4 CPU core. Keeping with its predecessors, the Google Pixel 8 Pro seemingly does not aspire to greater performance heights. The new Google flagship phone fails to match its competitors in the GPU performance department, effectively only delivering graphical prowess on par with flagship chipsets released two years ago.

The Intel Core i9-14900KF has made its first appearance on the PassMark site, where it has immediately snatched the crown for top CPU performance in single-thread testing. However, the Raptor-Lake S Refresh i9-14900KF couldn’t quite leapfrog the AMD Ryzen 9 7950X or the Ryzen 9 7950X3D in overall desktop CPU performance.

Samsung recently launched the Galaxy S23 FE, powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen or Exynos 2200 depending on regional models. It appears, however, that this Exynos 2200 on the S23 FE outperforms the Exynos 2200 on last year's Galaxy S22 lineup.

The iPhone 15 Pro Max was panned for its tendency to overheat under load. Apple appears to have done quite a bit to alleviate those worries, though, with the iOS 17.0.3 update improving gaming performance while also reducing temperatures.

OnePlus' inaugural foldable Android smartphone is believed to launch very soon. It has made its way onto Geekbench ahead of this event, which might confirm how much RAM the device can have and which SoC it runs on. Despite their top-tier level, they have given the device a low-key start in terms of benchmarking.
