GPD's goal-based Indiegogo campaign for its 8-inch Win Max console-control-enabled mini notebook has ended in triumph, raking in about US$2.8 million from over 3,000 backers. However, the device is still available on this platform for the next few days at a price closer to its eventual retail cost. It's not all good news for the OEM, though: some early adopters claim that its speedy 65W charger has failed on them.

A PlayStation-related patent has been doing the rounds on social media with many suspecting it could point to full PS5 backwards compatibility (BC) with the PS1, PS2, PS3, and PS4. Although the mystery around the patent has likely been solved, there are still some who question why Mark Cerny’s PlayStation 5 BC graphic looks incomplete.

A report states that MediaTek is on track to release its newest Dimensity 600 chip in the coming weeks. It is intended for low-cost 5G smartphones and is expected to make its debut in Q3 2020.

Samsung is currently working on a new device: the Galaxy S20 FE. The new phone is expected to be a more affordable flagship for the masses and is poised to take on the upcoming OnePlus 8T with a Snapdragon 865 and the very impressive 50 MP ISOCELL GN1 sensor.

According to a report by a South Korean media outlet, some upcoming Samsung phones might come without a charger in the box. A report on Weibo has revealed the Lenovo Legion smartphone racking up a huge score on AnTuTu in part thanks to its still apparently non-existent Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 Plus processor. The score of 648,871 points puts the Lenovo Legion way beyond any of the average scores of devices in the Snapdragon 865-dominated AnTuTu flagship performance chart.

Huawei will reportedly start making the EMUI 11 update available to eligible devices in Q3 2020. Owners of the Huawei Mate 30, P30, P40, and Nova 5 series will receive it first. Alternatively, it is also expected to make its way to a host of Honor phones in the form of Magic UI 4.0.

A leak has confirmed that Xiaomi has a new family of devices in development, codenamed Gauguin. The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) has approved a new Samsung device called the SM-A716V for sale. This phone is thought to be called the Galaxy A71s 5G on launch. According to its new official schematics, it may look much like the pre-existing A71. However, there are some signs its potential new derivative is destined for the Verizon network.

Rumour has it that Samsung will launch the Galaxy Note 20 and Note 20 Ultra at some hefty price tags next month. Apparently, the two flagships will retail for 25%-30% higher than the Galaxy Note 10 and Note 10+. The rumoured pricing would also see the Galaxy Z Fold 2 cost over US$2,000. A fake Galaxy Note 20 Ultra Geekbench listing has convinced some people, too.

Placeholder images for what could end up being the Huawei Band 5 activity tracker and the Huawei Mate Watch have been shared on the Chinese social site Weibo. No specifications have been revealed, but the supposed codenames for the upcoming Huawei smartband and smartwatch along with some potential design details are displayed.

Huawei's best SuperCharge wired power adapter can charge a compatible device at up to 40 watts (W). However, a leak points to a new generation of these accessories that is capable of 66W. A possible 2020 Apple iMac refresh device has been discovered on Geekbench with some surprising components: An unknown Intel Core i9-10910 processor and an unannounced AMD Radeon Pro 5300 desktop GPU. There has been speculation before of an upcoming refreshed 27-inch iMac being configured with a fast Comet Lake Core i9 CPU.

An Intel Core i9-10850K processor has been spotted on Geekbench, where it was recorded reaching a maximum frequency of 5.17 GHz. The Comet Lake part also amassed strong benchmark results that stand up well against an i9-10900KF and an i9-10900K. It’s possible Intel could launch the i9-10850K as a cheaper alternative to the i9-10900K.

The Chinese telecomms regulator 3C has reportedly certified a new Motorola device called the XT2071-4. This model number is rumored to correspond to the 2nd-generation foldable Razr. This new clamshell is thought to have the same screen size as its predecessor, although it may have an updated 5G SoC.

The Xiaomi Mi TV Stick appears to be getting closer to an official launch, as details about the gadget have been appearing via Geekbench, Google Play Console, and on official Google certification. It is the 1080p (FHD) Mi TV Stick model that has been spotted recently, although there is evidence of a 4K (UHD) device too.

Rumour has it that the Xbox Series S will not be sporting the Gamecube-esque design when Microsoft releases it later this year. Instead, it may be closer to the shape of the Xbox One. The eminent TF International Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo's latest round of Apple predictions include a rough launch date for an upcoming iPad with a 10.8-inch display.
