OnePlus premiered its first-gen fitness band in India; now, it seems its inaugural full-featured smartwatch will also launch in that market. The leaker Mukul Sharma (or @stufflistings on Twitter) claims to have found its registration on the country's BIS authority's website.
Based on earlier rumors, this device is predicted to be a re-brand of OPPO's Watch RX, which has a round face. OnePlus' version is increasingly likely to have exactly the same specs as this as-yet unlaunched wearable, except that the 2 brands have reportedly developed different UIs for similar hardware.
However, Sharma's certification shows not 1 but 2 model numbers for OnePlus' iteration: W501GB and W301GB. This suggests 2 different variants, 1 of which could be the OEM's take on the pre-existing OPPO Watch, a convincing Apple Watch clone.
Then again, this would make more sense if that Watch was not available in India already (it is). There are a few alternative explanations for the dual OnePlus variants, including that one of them could be a high-spec version of OPPO's pre-existing product, such as its ECG Edition.
It is also possible that 1 model number is for the rumored OnePlus Watch Cyberpunk 2077 edition, which might come with an appropriately-themed band and (judging by the 8T variant) UI. Despite all these new possible details and resulting speculation, however, the wearable remains no closer to an official launch date at present.
