A noted data miner has dug out an impressive result for AMD’s Ryzen 7 4800H in 3DMark’s Time Spy benchmark. The Ryzen 4000 series chip from the new Renoir family of APUs amassed a total of 8,350 points in the test, putting it ahead of potential competitors such as Intel’s Core i7-9700K, which managed 8,209 points in the same benchmark.

ASUS ROG is bringing a Ryzen 5 4600HS version of the Zephyrus G14 to market, the company has confirmed. The hexacore Renoir chip will come with up to 16 GB of DDR4-3200 RAM, an RTX 2060 Max-Q GPU and a 1 TB PCIe SSD. ASUS ROG will offer 120 Hz and 1080p or 60 Hz and 1440p panels with the device, too.

Rumour has it that Nintendo and NVIDIA are working to bring a Volta-powered Switch to market, and possibly as a Pro SKU of the console. It may not arrive before the end of the year though, and it may not live up to expectations anyway.

The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) has just cleared its first Motorola phone of the year. Its product data shows that it has a new model number (XT2055-2) and code-name (Blackjack). Industry insider sources inform that Intel's Comet Lake lineup of desktop CPUs will not provide support for the PCIe 4.0 standard as advertised back in late 2019. Intel's CPU shortages combined with the impossibility to adapt circuitry in time have led Intel to completely drop support for the PCIe 4.0 standard on this year's desktop platform.
