A new Motorola phone with the code-name Blackjack and a 5000mAh battery breaks cover in new leak
According to a fresh FCC leak, Motorola may launch its first smartphone of 2020 in the US soon. This device is known only as the XT2055-2 (or as "Blackjack") thus far. However, there are already indications that it may be destined for the feature-rich, cost-effective One line established by this OEM in recent years.
At a total length of 6.88 inches (in), the XT2055-2 may have a display of about 6.6in in diagonal length at best. Its new certification also shows that it has a 5000mAh battery, which may hint at provision for advanced connectivity options or functions. However, the FCC has also found that it is a common-or-garden LTE device, and, furthermore, does not even have 5GHz Wi-Fi.
Therefore, this new device will probably be pitched at the lower end of the smartphone market on its release, which may be imminent. Saying that, it may at least get an interesting product name, as is usual among Motorola One devices: no elongated strings of numbers, Pros, Maxes or all 3 for this line. We have already seen the Macro, the Zoom, the Hyper and the Action in 2019: it will be interesting to see what the OEM comes up with this year.
