While the specs are good for the most part despite some cut corners, the pricing of the Nokia 8.3 5G may work against its favor.

The Surface Go 2 has been spotted again, confirming previous rumours about the upcoming tablet. Rumoured to be launching this season, Microsoft will equip the device with at least Intel Core m3-8100Y and Pentium Gold 4425Y processors. 3DMark has not confirmed this time whether LTE options are on their way, but it is doubtful that at least relatively new processors are, at any rate.

Some images of the upcoming Fitbit Charge 4 fitness tracker have been leaked online, hot on the heels of the revealed full specifications for the wearable. An AMD Ryzen 7 4800HS has been spotted being put through its paces on Geekbench 5. The Ryzen 4000 APU was part of an Asus ROG Zephyrus G14 laptop. The 8-core Renoir chip amassed decent single-core scores of 1,135 and 1,164 points and multi-core scores of 7,444 and 7,544 points in two separate tests. This puts it on a very fair footing with the Coffee Lake Intel Core i9-9880H.

Microsoft recently unveiled DirectX 12 Ultimate, a rebrand for the DirectX 12_2 featureset. Graphics cards that are DirectX 12 Ultimate Compatible will have feature parity with the next-gen Xbox Series X.

The securities firm Wedbush has reportedly written to investors advising them that Apple will find its iPhone-derived takings reduced compared to earlier estimates. Geekbench 5's database has just turned up a new entry for a "Samsung SM-T307U". This model number may be for a tablet, in which case it would be a slate running on the Exynos 7885 processor and 3GB of RAM. As if to underpin this putative upcoming device's bargain nature, it is described as running Android 9.0 (Pie) rather than the newer 10 version.

The Mi 9 Lite and Mi CC9 have now started receiving a stable Android 10 update globally. Already rolled out to Chinese handsets, Xiaomi has now extended the Android 10 upgrade to Global and Russian devices. Those enrolled on the European branch of MIUI may be in for a wait until Android 10 reaches them, though.

The new A12Z SoC manages to impress us in a negative way. We were suspecting it would not be that much faster than the A12X, but we would have never guessed that it only has a 1% edge over the 2018 model. Still, the performance is well above anything available from the competitors, yet it does not necessarily recommend it as a worthy upgrade since Apple will release even better models in 6 months.

Amid all the fuss surrounding the launch of the new iPad Pro range and MacBook Air, Apple also gave the Mac mini a surprise boost. Although the CPUs and RAM configurations remain the same, it has doubled the standard storage at no additional cost (at least in the US).
