Acer announced two new convertible Chromebooks today. The Chromebook Spin 713 is a premium Chromebook with a 2K 3:2 13.5-inch screen aimed at enterprise users and those in search of a high-end Chromebook. The Chromebook Spin 311 is a smaller 11.6-inch Chromebook designed for students and the education market.

Acer announced a slew of new predator gaming monitors today. The ultra-high refresh rate X25 and the updated 24.5-inch, 27-inch, and 31.5-inch XB3 refresh to the XB series present a range of options to consumers.

Acer has announced a refresh of the Predator Helios 300. Now featuring Intel Comet Lake-H processors and up to an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 Max-Q. The latter is overclockable and can be paired with a 240 Hz, FHD and IPS 15.6-inch display. The new Predator Helios 300 will go on sale in China this month before reaching Africa, Europe, the Middle East and the US in July.

Acer has refreshed the Predator Helios 700, the gaming laptop with a slide-out keyboard and touchpad. The 17.3-inch gaming laptop has been upgraded to Comet Lake-H processors and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 20 SUPER series GPUs. The Helios 700 has gained faster RAM among other changes too.

Acer has announced a new Predator Triton 300, the PT315-52. Upgraded to Intel Comet Lake-H processors, the new Triton 300 is available with a choice of two NVIDIA GeForce RTX or two GeForce GTX 16 series GPUs. The Acer Predator Triton 300 PT315-52 will start at US$1,299.99 or €1,399 in Europe.

Acer has refreshed the Swift 5, its compact and lightweight 14-inch laptop series. The SF514-55, which weighs in at under 1 kg, includes a 90% screen-to-body ratio, Intel Tiger Lake processors, an NVIDIA GeForce MX350 GPU and up to 16 GB of RAM. The Acer Swift 5 SF514-55 will arrive in China, EMEA and North America in Q4 2020 from US$999.99.

Acer has unveiled a new version of its Nitro 50 gaming desktop featuring 10th-generation Intel Core i3, Core i5, and Core i7 CPUs. It can be configured with up to 64GB of RAM and a variety of storage options. The desktop will be available for purchase in Europe this August and in North America in September.

The refreshed Acer Predator Orion 9000 gaming desktop comes with 10th-generation Intel Core i9 chips that can be paired with up to two NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 Ti, RTX 2080 Super, or RTX 2070 Super GPUs. One can add up to 128GB of RAM and up to four hard disks and three NVMe SSDs. It will be available in select regions in October and will retail at €2,799 ($3,155).

Recent leaks have pointed to the release of a second variant for the Galaxy A01, a budget phone debuted by Samsung in 2020. A new entry on the Bluetooth Special Interest Group (SIG) website now confirms its existence. It also shows that the phone's product name will have a novel twist: it will be the Galaxy A01 Core.

Asus is expanding its Ryzen 4000 portfolio with the ZenBook 14 UM425 ultrabook and the VivoBook Flip 14 TM420 convertible. Tipster @CyberCatPunk leaked what appears to be a spec sheet for NVDIA’s upcoming flagship RTX 3080 Ti. If true, the 23 TFLOPs monster might be enough to take on AMD’s soon-to-be-launched Big Navi lineup.

Acer has launched the Cestus 350 as part of its new Predator-series gaming line-up today (June 23, 2020). It has a Pixart 3335 sensor, which, as the OEM asserts, will confer accuracy on the new device with minimal latency. It also has 8 programmable buttons and can be used in wired or wireless mode.

According to ASUS's official Weibo handle, the ASUS ROG Phone 3 will be unveiled in China this July. In our review, the OnePlus 8 has turned out to be a complete success, since it not only offers good hardware for a fair price, but also comes with 5G compatibility. With many features of the OnePlus 8 Pro also being included, the OnePlus 8 may seem like a better choice than the OnePlus 8 Pro to many prospective buyers, since the price difference is quite substantial.

After months of waiting, the Xiaomi Redmi 7 is finally receiving the stable Android 10 update. The update is rolling out in China and bears the version number "MIUI 11.0.1.0.QFLCNXM". It's obviously based on MIUI 11 and, if the Redmi 7A's rollout was any indication, should get to global units in a few weeks.

Apple has announced that it will transition its entire Mac lineup to ARM-based custom silicon over the next two years. Support for Apple silicon is now available in macOS Big Sur and developers can get started right away on a Developer Transition Kit (DTK) that includes a Mac Mini powered by the A12Z Bionic. Despite the transition Apple will continue to support Intel processors for many years to come.

The Xiaomi Mi Smart Mouse, which has also been called the Xiaomi XiaoAI Mouse, has been posted on the company’s crowdfunding platform. The computer peripheral can be controlled via voice commands and can also be connected to two devices at a time. The Mi Smart Mouse is priced at 149 yuan (US$21) but is currently on offer for 129 yuan (US$18).

New real-life images of the Samsung Galaxy Watch 3 have been leaked, and this time they show the display turned on. It appears that the Tizen OS has been redesigned for the upcoming smartwatch, which is expected to be launched in August. The Galaxy Watch 3 will come in 41 mm and 45 mm size variants.

New reports indicate that TSMC has officially started producing 5 nm chips and is expected to deliver the Qualcomm Snapdragon 875 and the Snapdragon X60 modem by September. Apart from Qualcomm and Apple, AMD has also proposed awarding TSMC a contract for producing more than 20,000 wafers a month for a high-end 5 nm GPU.

The A100 is the first GPU based on NVIDIA's state-of-the-art Ampere architecture. It is available in NVLink and (as of today) PCIe-enabled cards intended for high-performance computing (HPC) use cases. Its maker has also announced details on over 50 new servers based on these new graphics solutions.

Users of Redmi Note 8 Pro, Redmi Note 7 series, and Pocophone F1 in India and other countries are now eligible to participate in Phase 2 testing of the MIUI 12 Global Stable Beta ROM under the Mi Pilot program. There are only limited slots available for each region and enlisting depends on successful verification of eligibility.

A new leak has confirmed that Xiaomi will be releasing two versions of the Mi TV Stick. Confirmed to be FHD and 4K models, the Mi TV Stick will start at US$49.99 and will start shipping at the end of next month. Both versions will run Android TV 9.0 and will support voice controls via Google Assistant out of the box.

Update: Problem fixed. We currently have two review samples from Lenovo's new ThinkPad T-series in our office, but neither the ThinkPad T14 CPU, nor the ThinkPad T15 CPU, can utilize their Turbo Boosts and only run at the base clock of 1.6 and 1.8 GHz, respectively.

The MIUI 12 rollout continues. After sending out the beta stable updates to the Redmi K20 Pro and Redmi K30 5G last week, Xiaomi has also rolled out updates to the Redmi K30 4G, Redmi K30 Pro, and the Mi 10 Lite Zoom.

Apple's WWDC 2020 event may not showcase all the new hardware launches we've been expecting so far. Instead, Apple is expected to focus on new software updates and announce the existence of ARM-based Macs so as to get developers up to speed. Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo expects Apple to fully transition to ARM in 2021 starting from the ARM-powered 13-inch MacBook Pro and redesigned iMac.
