A new Dimensity 800 phone appears on Geekbench: could it be the Honor 30 Lite?
The Lite variant of the Honor 30 series could be a particularly interesting release, as it is touted to rock the Dimensity 800 processor and to have a global launch. A new model number that might correspond to this device has surfaced on Geekbench 4. It runs Android 10 and has 6GB of RAM in addition to the new MediaTek SoC.
Honor is currently rumored to have a new phone called the 30 Lite in the works. Based on its leaked specs thus far, it is thought to join the emerging lower-mid-tier of the 5G smartphone market. It, like the recently-released Huawei Enjoy Z (or 20 Pro), may have the MediaTek Dimensity 800 chipset.
These indications may be given further weight by a new device that has recently appeared on the Geekbench 4 website. It is known as the Huawei MXW-AN00, and is powered by a platform named "ARM MT6873" clocked at 2GHz - which does indeed signify the presence of the Dimensity 800.
The possible Honor 30 Lite also has 6GB of RAM and runs Android 10. Therefore, this may be more evidence that the new phone may launch soon. The phone - which may be rebranded as the 30 Youth Edition in China - is also currently believed to have a 4000mAh battery that charges at 22.5 watts (W).

I became a professional writer and editor shortly after graduation. My degrees are in biomedical sciences; however, they led to some experience in the biotech area, which convinced me of its potential to revolutionize our health, environment and lives in general. This developed into an all-consuming interest in more aspects of tech over time: I can never write enough on the latest electronics, gadgets and innovations. My other interests include imaging, astronomy, and streaming all the things. Oh, and coffee.
